Being a fresh graduate has always been tiresome. Whenever they're applying for a new job, of course, using their certificate, people keep asking for experience. Worse, two years of experience. How can they remove the 'fresh' title if the experience is one of the main requirements for getting a job? Yes, some colleges have an internship program. But it's not enough for most interviews.

That's what happened to Nathan Reed. He got a degree in marketing, maybe he's not that lucky, went to more than ten interviews, and all of them ended up with rejection letters. Hell, some didn't even contact him. It makes him lose all the motivations he got.

He's 24 and still couldn't afford an apartment. Don't judge him. It is expensive. He also needs to think about his needs and food. So, he's stuck at his older sister's apartment. He is a buddy for her there. He's always envied her. When Natalie graduated, she got a job at a building company in just three months. Now, she's in a better position there.

While he, on the other hand, lives with his sister for a living. They still have their parents. Well, parent. Nathan only claims to have a mother and his stepfather. His biological father left them for some chick. At least, that's what he thinks. On the other hand, his stepfather seems like he couldn't accept the fact that he's gay. Yes, gay. And proud. When his stepfather found out, everything became so awkward. So, he decided to move out.

Natalie, his sister, didn't mind having him at her apartment. But that still doesn't help with him fulfilling his every need. He still needs to live. Living means... having fun, going to clubs, hanging out with his friends, and so on. So, he needs to be able to afford it for himself. Now, he's working at a small café. Not very small, but not that big either. But it's enough.

"Nathaniel!"

"For God's sake, Brendan, if you called me that again, I will shove your dick up your nose!" Nathan yelled from the kitchen. He was so busy drying his hands after done with dishes.

Brendan shrugged innocently from the door frame. "That's your name."

"And I hate it!" Nathan rolled his eyes with a small grunt. "Nathan is fine. Nathan is better."

Brendan turned to roll his eyes. "I need help, there are too many customers. Help me get orders."

Nathan snorted. He looked in the mirror to make sure he looked decent before walking out. There were not too many people. But Brendan is the only waiter in charge of that shift. Needing helps understandable. Nathan pulled out his pen and notebook before going to a table.

"Hello. Can I get your orders?"

The couple gives him their orders, which Nathan sends to the order table to be processed, before going to a table full of guys. Teenagers, to be exact, Always noisy and excited.

"Hello, gentlemen. What can I get for you guys?"

"Your number, perhaps?"

Nathan rolled his eyes. "Kid... I may look young, but I'm not a high schooler like you. So please, don't try and hit me up."

The teenager turns red, clearly embarrassed. His friends are laughing. It cannot be sure whether they're just playing around by asking the number or not. But still, they're from a different age level. They start looking through the menu. And Nathan is just waiting, annoyed. He didn't know what makes him irritated—the teenagers or the fact that he needs to stay.

But it's not too long. His eyes caught on something. Or someone's eyes, to be exact. A man. He is sitting on the nearest table, wearing a suit and staring at him, and probably checking him out. He doesn't know why but this made him proud. Nathan is flirty. That's how he is always having fun.

He wrote down every single order he gets. Even though his eyes look somewhere else, his ears work very well. He knows where he wants to go next. He wants to take that man's order. So, he didn't waste time by writing down the orders, walking fast to the counter, and putting it there before rushing to go to the table where the man in the suit is sitting.

But, before he could reach it, a classy woman took a seat in front of the man making Nathan stop in his tracks. He cursed and stomped his feet. Seeing how they're reacting to each other, it's clear that they're on their date.
