You rushed into Bucky's room, eyes wide and worrying at the sound of his terror-filled cries, and found the super soldier tossing and turning in his sleep. You quickly woke him and he hugged you close, shivering for a few minutes as you quietly sang to him. This had become a sort of routine, based on how frequent Bucky's nightmares were and how attentive you'd become to his happiness and safety in the last few months. Your friend Steve appreciated how much you cared- although it was getting annoying how often he tried to get you and Bucky together. Sure, you really liked him, but you weren't certain he liked you back. So you were just friends, for now, you singing him back to sleep after a nightmare as Bucky watched you with a soft, adoring smile.
