The sunlight comes in wisps through the trees, cascading shadows of leaves. Cherry blossoms fall down like snow, dancing along the cobblestone and rocks. Small puddles of water the color of the sky decorate the ground. Drops of color scatter against the rocky floor, painting a shattered sunset on the pebbles. Old gothic castles and classical buildings stand tall in the background, watching over the weathered streets, and guiding the sightseers by their beauty—the residents by memory. A violin and its acoustic accompaniment serenade the calm waves as the lap at the jagged shore. The resonance of people dancing and laughing carries a vibrant tune. Vanilla and a faint cinnamon scent are swept from the nearby café, flowing with the breeze toward the sea, and mixing with the remnants of yesterday's rain. The idea of peace lingers overhead so that the clocks and pocket watches stop ticking, yet time marches on.
