Luna is a stray cat with beautiful green eyes and a smooth black coat. She has often had dreams of the past where she is eating mice on the busy and crowded streets and sees her beloved grandmother, Midnight star. She is having another one of those dreams tonight. Her ears twitch as she is dreaming of her being with her grandmother once again. "Is everything ok Luna? Do the mice not taste good?" Midnight Star meowed as she takes a bite out of one of the mice. Luna looks up at her and responds. "No midnight, it is not the mice." The sweet little kitten replied. Midnight star then made eye contact with Luna. "Then what is on your mind my dear?" She asked in a very calm and soothing tone. "Well... I move on every day but there is nothing fun or exciting going on." She says with a sigh and continues. "I wish... I wish I could just go somewhere, awesome and cool! It's hard and very harsh living on the streets every day." Luna says with her ears down. Midnight star nodded pretty much understanding what Luna was trying to say. "If you desire to go to some place awesome and very cool, never go left or right just keep going straight. Also don't worry about anything. I'll be with you the whole way on your way on the journey. Just remember, always go straight and you'll end up where you want to be." Midnight star starts to fade out into the night and without another word. The dream ends shortly, as usual, and Luna wakes up. "Ahhh!" Luna breathes heavily, looks around, and noticed she was still in her box that she had fallen asleep in earlier. "Well, time to start a new day." She walks over to a puddle, and looks right into it seeing her reflection. She sighed and whispered, "Only go straight.... As Midnight star always told me." Luna added getting up to stretch her legs. The sun was was rising and filled everything in a gold color. It outlined everything else orange along with the sky line as Luna started her walk. "You are special." Midnight star's echoing voice was heard in her ears. As she started walking she saw lights blinking. As always people start walking or ridding weird and large things. They were riding things that were unpleasant and very loud. Luna hears humans refer to these strange objects as cars, motorcycles, four wheelers, taxi's, and even trucks. She already knew why she could understand the humans and why they could hear her, but not understand anything she is saying. Midnight star's mother, Sarah, was a magical cat who could talk to humans and any other living thing and they could understand her. She had a special gift in communication and other powers. She loved and cared for everything and everyone. Until that day came around the corner out of no where. On this particular day, she was looking for food to feed her hungry little kittens and when she came back, teens didn't care about anything, and abused her and her litter. None of her kittens made it but some how, by some way, Midnight star made it out alive. It should be mentioned that she was the youngest and was the runt of the litter. She was often called that by her oldest brother Max. Luna was still making her way to her destination as the wind blew right at her face and her fur was forced to sway back and to the right by the harsh winds. It was almost near that time of year. Fall, where the nights got colder and colder. Luna was wondering where Midnight star was taking her to. She did mention it was an awesome and very cool place which is exactly what Luna wanted. Midnight star says she would always walk there in her early mornings in order to be at the same destination as Luna. Luna also liked the early mornings herself. It was so quiet and it still as a kit, which is short for kitten, she would enjoy the fresh breeze on her fur and yet she still does. It also gave her some time to hunt or practice her fighting moves so she could use them when she needs them. Just like the time when Sarah and her kittens were beaten to death. Luna knew she didn't want to end up like them. She wanted to be brave and strong as her beloved and smart grandmother, Midnight Star. There was a question that has been in Luna's head for days. Why was midnight star taking her to such a specific place? Why her? Why only head for the direction straight? As she walked past some buildings Luna slowly whispered under her breath "Midnight star was right about everything being a lot more different." She started to have flash backs about the happy moments that she spent as a kit with her litter-mates. Like the one time where they were all only about five months old and a rat tried to get her brother Rex and surprisingly, she fought the rat like a pro. It was twice her size! Plus she helped her sister catch her first mouse on her very first hunt. It was past don and Luna could feel and hear her stomach growling with hunger. After a little while Luna was able to smell a mouse near by. Luna's mouth started to water at the sent of prey. Soon Luna spotted the little gray and fuzzy bundle digging under the trash bin. When it wasn't paying attention Luna had her chance to pounce on it before it could go away. Besides the mouse, Luna could soon recognize a strange scent something beyond the mouse. It was the scent of a cat! It smelled like she has been treated with some lavender scent and just had its dinner a couple of hours ago. It had been a while since Luna had talked to another cat in person. Not a lot of time past before she spotted the teal glowing eyes hidden very well in the darkest of shadows. The cat was on top of the bin only having her eyes focused on the mouse not even noticing Luna's presents. With luck, she would be fast enough to pounce on the mouse first, before the other cat could. She pounced on it and killed it with a quick bite on its neck when she sunk her teeth it in it. Picking up her prey, she headed for the strange cat. Suddenly, the strange cat leaped down to Luna before Luna could say anything. The uninvited guest just appeared to be observing Luna as if she wanted to know the secrets to Luna's techniques. She didn't speak after a few minutes and then she finally meowed. "Hello." Strange, Luna had never seen a cat like this one in her life. The cat's gorgeous big teal eyes were still glowing and Luna could tell that it looked at the mouse then up at Luna. "Ya know, I could have caught that but...it's nice to see that another cat didn't ask for personal assistants." She says still sitting on the bin on her pounce position. She jumped off the bin. Luna didn't know what breed she was. As clear as day, she was a bengal cat. She had a thick orange coat and some brown spots outlined in black on her fur. Her ears were brown and has a beige color making a heart shape on both ears. She also had a bit of brown on leg half way up. She had noticeable color of a pink rose on her nose. She had beautifully long eyelashes and bright white teeth. Luna could tell her fur was ridiculously shiny and she had just had her fur brushed down softly. "The name's Marah mate." Marah bowes her head down. Luna set the mouse down to start a conversation with her new friend she just met. "It is nice to meet you Marah. I'm Luna and I am on a quest sent by my lovely grandmother in a dream. She died and she tells me things to have a brighter future. She told me to go straight in order to find my destination." Marah tilted her head to the side for a few seconds and shook it off and finally said, "My mother, sally told me the same thing, and it was also in a dream." They both fell silent for a moment and the Luna decided to break the silence with a question. "Would you like me to share the mouse with you?" Marah smirked nodded her head and said "Girl you bet cha. I would never pass an opportunity like that in streets like this one. There would never be enough food to feed not even one mouse." They started feasting on the mouse. Once they had finished the mouse, Marah licked her lips and added, "Do you think we would meet other cats on our way to our destinations?" Luna looked up at her. Her face represented the feeling of shocked. Were they traveling together now? "Wait, are you suggesting that we can both do the quest together?" Marah chuckled. "Well., we are going in the same direction." Luna smiled. "Ok then let's go." Luna tilted her way to the right and started walking that direction going straight. They walked for hours together and soon, the sun started to set as the trees' shadows danced and the leaves flies in the air. The moon is taking over the sky and making the skyline a dark purple. After that, a dark sea blue close to black and the stars started to settle in. "We better start find a place to rest for the night. We can continue tomorrow. Maybe over here." They kept on walking and suddenly came to a stop. There was no way they could go straight anymore. The only choices were to go left or right. Marah turned over to look at Luna. "Dead end? Huh?" Says Marha with confidence and shaking her head. She then continued. "I guess we stop here for the night and see what we can do in the morning and maybe hunt." They both found a place to rest in. As fast as they found a place to sleep, they've fallen asleep. This time Luna sees Jake, Midnight star's brother, in her dream. He starts to speak to her. "Luna I see that you and your friend can no longer go straight because of the dead end. If you go up on the objects you can find, you can find a way out and go straight." Luna was shocked even midnight star's young brother told her what to do. She plans on taking his advice. "Thank you. I will sir." Jake's breath was heard and faded away along with his body turning into ashes. Luna woke up and rose to her paws. She looked up at the wall. She found a way to go straight again! She went to check it out, but before she could leap onto the box she heard Marah's voice "Luna?" Marah yawns, then stretches and wipes her left eye. "Where are you going?" Luna looked behind her and looked straight at Marah. "Midnight star's brother Jake told me where to go and he said to go up." She took a leap and something pushed her pushed back down. "Look out!" Marah's voice was filled with worry. Luna landed on her back. "Ack!" Marah runs towards Luna. "Are you ok?" They heard laughs coming from up above and decided to look up at the wall. Marah looked up with her ears down and gasped. "What was that?" Luna tried to make out what the figures were. "Wait is that what I think it is?" Marah says kind of confused. Luna shook her head. She takes a step closer and squints. "I-I don't know it looks like..." She looked closely at the shapes. They looked small and had fur on them and their tails didn't seem the same as their body. The tail was missing some fur. She finally figured out what the group of figures where. She saw a group of rats! She gasped and bared her teeth. "Rats!"
