KEIRA'S POV

Aira and I were waiting patiently at the hospital lobby when the doctor finally arrived to talk to us.

"Hi, your father is safe, ...for now, the surgery went well. We have successfully removed the blood clot in his heart. However, he will still be under observation for the next 48 hours so instead of transferring to his room he will stay in the ICU until his condition stabilizes. " says Dr. Svartz

"Thank you so much Doctor for saving our father's life." I told him

"Can we go and see him now?" Aira asked impaitiently

"He will just be under observation for 2 hours, Right now he is in the recovery room. Once stable, he will be transferred to the ICU, the nurses will notify you once he is ready for transfer. I'll go ahead for now to make orders for his medications. If you'll excuse me?" Dr. Svartz politely leave nodding to me and Aira.

After the Doctor left Aira gave me that deathly glare and said "If anything happened to Dad, I swear I'm never going to forgive you Kiera." After that she stormed out and left me alone.

All I can do is heave a deep sigh and sob. Aira is right. I also will never be able to forgive myself if anything bad happens to Dad. It is all my fault. I should've been more careful. Now how can I regain Dad's trust. All those years that I tried to prove myself to him to be the best daughter that he dream of having. I was his only hope, now I proved to him that I am worse than Aira. A total disappointment. I don't know how long I stayed in that state but a gentle touch in my back brought me back to reality. It was Edward.

"Hey, its alright!" I looked up and see his gorgeous face sternly looking at me. Why does he have to be this sinfully gorgeous! Wait, am I seeing him clearly? Why will Edward McDonaugh be concern about my sobbing? Or perhaps he is just concerned about my dad. I brushed of my mind with that realization.

" Hi, I'm sorry, I---I.. what are you doing here?" I want to hit myself for stuttering. I don't know what's going on with me. Kiera this is Edward! Wake up! You hate him, remember?

" I heard what happened to your dad, so how is he?" Concern is still registered in his face. I couldn't help but tears suddenly fell into my eyes remembering about my dad.

"Oh, He.. he's safe now, he will be transferred to the ICU after the observation" I said while looking at my fingers which I am now unconsciously playing as I intertwined my hands together and looks at it.

" He will be alright! You should stop crying. He won't very be happy seeing you like this. You know how much he loves you. And how proud he is of you." He smiled and rub my back and I can't help but cry again.

"Hey!" He said cupping my face, wiping the tears falling from my eyes.

"It..It's all my fault! D., Dad caught me and Daniel in bed this morning." I said looking into his eyes. His expression suddenly turns grim. He looked at me and suddenly walks out.

Even he was so disappointed with me. I thought to myself.

AFTER A WEEK

I made myself busy at work finishing the hotel designs with Samantha our Head Designer. We were out of town for 5 days for a convention so today is the first day that I will be visiting Dad in the hospital. Despite of our differences, Aira and I were constantly communicating about dad's condition.
