Nadia's P.O.V.
"You bitch, drink!" The man said, forcing another bottle of wolves bain down my throat, you'd think that after the second one my throat would just become numb to the burning but no, I still felt every drop of the acid move down my throat and into my stomach where it eventually entered my blood, weakening me even more.
I held back a scream as he pulled away and I counted up the substance, he cackled and moved away from me. I was currently tied up in a chair in the center of a stage, hundreds of men cheered from below and man of then laughed at my pain. But it wasn't just my pain, there were four other girls up here with me, all being cut, burned, choked, and beaten.
This was their show, if they could buy us at the auction, they got to watch us suffer later on. That's how it works here, in the Trade.
Every three weeks, fourteen girls would go up for sale, anyone could bid and anyone could buy. If you went up and no one made a bid on you, you were sent here. Where the rogues and poor wolves watch.
It made me sick, hearing the sick booming laughter of the insane wolves over the terrified screams of the girls as they were carried away.
"These two, " the announcer spoke loudly, catching the attention of every audience member, making them go quietly. Three of the girls were dragged off of the stage, and soon it was just me and another woman- she looked a little older, maybe in her late twenties, only a few years older than me. Her blonde hair was matted and a thick layer of sweat and dirt converted her skin.
"These two have been in the Trade for years now!" He paused, "So, as a special gift from me to you- whoever wants them, gets them!" He erupted in manic laughter, everyone started murmuring to themselves.
"Me! Me!" One filthy rogue climbed on the stage, sick adrenaline in his almost black eyes. He was obviously taller than me, by at least four inches. He wasn't built, but he was big.
"Which one do you want?" The rogue looked between me and the woman, slightly bouncing in his place as he looked at us as if we were game prizes.
"Her!" he excitedly pointed at me, my heart dropped, I knew the day would come when I would be given to anyone at random but I didn't think it would be a rogue.
Not many rogues bought girls from the Trade in fear of being caught, human trafficking was punishable by death. That's why only the rich wolves bought us, they were able to keep us hidden easier.
"Take her, then!" The rogue didn't hesitate to charge at me, he quickly untied me and pulled me roughly by my upper arm towards him. My legs were too weak to hold myself up, so he literally dragged me by my arm across the stage and down the steps.
"We're gonna have so much fun." He laughed to himself, he had to be mental in some way. He dragged me outside and my feet slid against the concrete making the skin slightly scrape off, I wanted to fight him, but I knew it wouldn't do me any good. I am maybe, maybe, 110 pounds, this rogue and all the rest around me are in the 200 range. They can and have overpowered me easily.
"A little faster, a little further, " he heaves as he carries me into the woods, probably going deep enough so people so won't hear me scream.
After another twenty minutes up dragging, and occasional lewd comments from the rogue, he drops me onto the forest floor.
"Now to get started! Now, now, now!" he cheers as he moves over me so that he's straddling my stomach, as he looks down onto my stomach I lose my air and try to suck on a breath, but with him on me it seems impossible.
"Oh you smell good, " He hums as he leans down to my neck, I lay still as he slobbers all over my neck and chest.
I've been through this a thousand times before, I learned that the more you struggle the worse it will be. So if I just lay back and let them do what they want, they're done quicker and I have less bruising.
"Hey!" A deep, authoritative voice makes the rogue snap his head from my body and towards the dark trees.
"You two rogues, what do you think you're doing on Chester land?" I hear more than one pair of footsteps approach us as the rogue pulls me to stand by his side.
"Play along or die a slow, painful death." he hisses into my ear, I immediately straighten up and attempt to look relaxed as the rogue moves his arm around my waist.
"Just me and my mate, sir, we didn't know we had gone so far from the trial, my apologies." I had to cover up my surprise as the rogue spoke, his voice was no longer gravelly and hoarse, now it was a smoother version, a formal version.
"Just you and your mate, huh?" The man asked, obviously not buying the rogues lie.
"Yes sir, right honey?" The rogue looked to me, my throat was still burned with wolves bain so I couldn't speak just yet but I nodded, making sure to keep my eyes off of whoever had caught us.
"Ma'am?" The man directed his voice to me, I slowly brought my eyes to his.
"Are you alright?" He looked concerned, his shaggy blonde hair was barely covering his eyes when I made contact with them.
I only nodded, keeping a weak smile on my face.
Reluctantly, he sighed and looked away from me.
"Fine then, stay off of our land and there will be no further trouble." With that, he was gone, he took off running into the trees. I wanted to beg for him to come back, I want to see for him to kill this rogue, and then myself.
"You almost got us killed!" The rogue growled, his scratchy voice returning. He pushed my shoulders and I flew back into a tree, making me hit the floor. He walked closer to me and stepped on my chest, making me cry out in protest.
"Let have some fun." He snarled out with a wicked smirk coming across his face.
"I knew it!" Fear flashed in the rogue's eyes and that man charged towards him. The rogue's neck was broken in a matter of seconds, and his lifeless body thudded to the ground at my side.
"Ma'am-" The man leaned down to help me up, but I cut him off the best I could.
"K-Kill m-me!" I pleaded, his eyes widened in confusion. I repeated my words before erupting into a coughing fit, he turned me into my side so I could spit the blood that was in my mouth onto the ground.
"Don't worry, someone is coming to help." He said in a firm tone as he looked forward into the trees, he probably mind-linked someone.
"N-n-no!" I shuttered, feeling absolutely weak and exhausted. I felt like I could pass out, and maybe if I did then I would die. Pass out and die, that sounds good enough.
"No, you have to stay awake." The man's voice was filled with panic and worry, but I didn't care. My wolf and I are both ready to die, so why not give in now?
"Hurry up over here!" He was yelling to someone, but I didn't know who, frankly I didn't care. I was focusing on the dark shadow that my eyelids cast over my vision as I excepted death with open arms.
"Keep her alive." Said a firm, deep voice. Filled with authority and power, that voice was the last thing I heard before I fell unconscious.
