I'm not Sorry {Ban x Reader}

Here we go

-Ban's POV-

There wasn't a trace of humanity left in {Y/N}'s eyes. Yet I still hoped for there to be something, even a sliver still left.

She straightened (ha unlike my gay ass- have you seen Draco Malfoy? Edit: okay I lied here. I'm not a boy... my younger edgy self is dead now. Draco's still hot... but I'm now gay for Robin from ST) her stance and moved her neck side to side before running her free hand along tables and walls, spreading scorching fire throughout the tavern.

She seemed in no rush whatsoever to get this over with, but Diane being the moron she is- ran up to {Y/N}. "{Y-Y/N} stop! This isn't you, you're going to hurt someone! {Y/-" Fairy boy had gotten anxious about her safety apparently and had swooped in and flew her outside. Tears flooded Diane's eyes as she was carried away and I started to feel like this wasn't going to end well.

By this point in time, the tavern was basically completely engulfed in flames and we had all ran out. Those of us who were able to fight had formed our weapons and started waiting for when she was going to strike. None of us really had seen her fight before so we didn't quite know what to expect strategy wise.

Diane had gone with the princess to warn nearby towns and travelers on what is happening- which left the cap'n, pillow man, and myself to figure out how to stop this. It would've been great to have Gowther here- but he's never around when we need him most.

All of the sudden she sprinted out of the tavern, sword in hand in which she took a swing right at my neck. I dodged out of the way and she immediately rebounded towards me again this time closer to my head. She was fast... inhumanly fast and before I noticed how close she had been, she dropped to the ground, and right behind her stood the cap'n holding her ankle.

He held her down and she frantically tried to get up which had been no use. Her clothes were tattered and the black cracks covering her body were fully visible- along with her burn scars all over her hands and forearms.

The fire had ceased on her body and for a minute we had thought it had just been that easy. But of course, it never is and her whole body went up in flames as the cap'n had been flung back into the forest. The fire began to grow around the area as grass and bushes caught aflame. I shielded my eyes as to look for {Y/N}'s whereabouts, but smoke had polluted the skies and I couldn't see 5 feet in front of me.

"CAPTAIN! KING!" I yelled out expecting no response. "BAN LOOK OUT!" I heard from behind me- I quickly spun around and saw {Y/N} lunge at me as I quickly side stepped in which she responded by twisting her body and throwing all of her strength into the next swing. The attack had grazed my jacket leaving a singed mark.

After that, it had left me enough time to throw my arms around her, causing her to drop he sword which distinguished itself once on the ground. I had no idea where King was, or where the cap'n had ended up after his trip- but the forest was quickly setting aflame and breathing was becoming a hassle due to the smoke.

"{Y/N} STOP!" I growled as she started to focus the fire on her arms again to the areas I was holding her by. "Then let me the FUCK GO!" She screamed. "Not until I get you back! Think about your team! The people in neighboring towns you are putting in danger! You used to be Holy Knights for fucks sake!" "Shut UUUUUUUP!" Her breathing started to pick up so I kept going. "You dedicated so many years of your life to protecting this place! Think about why you did that! Cause this person that I see right now is not the girl that did that." "I SAID SHUT UP!"

Her body quickly set on fire- causing me to let go. I stumbled backwards and again, she had launched herself in my direction, but thing is... she was slower. Then she dropped to her knees and started crying. "Stop... please... go AWAY!" Her voice picking up. I walked around to face her and her nose had started bleeding a black kind of color.

Fire started to spread up her arms again, but now the flames her red with a tint of purple in them. {Y/N} had then let out the most agonizing scream I had ever heard as the flames stopped at her collar bone.

The black wispy figure had appeared behind her and bent down to her level, placing a hand on he shoulder. "You get away form her!" I yelled as I swung at him- he reached his hand out and I got sent back to the ground.

"Don't fight this. This is who you truly are, this is your destiny." I had heard him say as I sat up-grasping my head in pain. My ears then began to ring and my vision was blurry- but what I did see was {Y/N} on her feet, and the figure on the ground. She kneeled down and her hands were engulfed in flames as she placed her hand on his shoulder and said something I couldn't quite make out. But the figure began to disappear, a purple color trailing over him, and the figure collapsing into a pile of ash.

As my vision cleared, I saw the fire had stopped spreading. I felt someone come up behind me and help me sit up. I look to the right of me- and it's {Y/N}. She had a worried, and guilty look on her face but her eyes were back to her beautiful {e/c} eyes and the black, purple gleaming cracks had ceased to exist. But new burn scars covered her arms and a good portion of her torso.

"Holy fuck... Ban I- god I'm so sorry. I didn't mean for any o-" I couldn't resist it anymore. I crashed my lips onto hers and placed my hand on her cheek, shutting her up. I felt her kiss back and it felt... it felt right. I pulled away to look at her. "Well we're all fuckups here, so don't go making a big fuss over it. You are not the first."

With that, we laughed- then heard some rustling. We looked to our left- and low and behold was the team. Diane and Lizzy completely blushing, king looking like he wanted to tell me "I told you so", and the cap'n just slowly nodding and giving me a thumbs up. God I wanted to murder them all, but {Y/N} started to laugh and I didn't want to ruin the fun, so I just smiled, a hugged her- with the intent to never let her go.
