I'm not Sorry {Ban x Reader}

Maybe this isn't me

-={Y/N's} POV=-

I had carried the young, distraught girl to the Holy Knight who had told me about the monster. I walked into part of the castle that was still in great shape and saw the Holy Knight.

He turned around and saw us. The young girl with her arms wrapped around my neck, and my bandaged hands holding her up.

"{Y/N}!" He yells as he sprints over to us. He slows as he reaches our spot and hesitates to take the young girl from my grasp due to the purple slime like substance covering us in many spots on our bodies.

The girl turns her head to look in his direction. He smiles, and she snaps her head back towards me and wraps her arms around my neck once again.

The Holy Knight looks down slightly at me. "We've gathered the survivors in the main dining hall. There are surprisingly quite a few more than we were expecting."

I nod to him as if signaling 'take us there please'. He seems to get what I meant and he leads us to the dining hall. He opens the door and the room is filled with people of all ages and genders.

I turn my head to face the girl in my arms. She looks up at me, and I smile. "Let's try to find your family, okay?" I ask, and she nods before burying her face into my armored shoulder.

I begin walking around with her in my arms, looking at every single person. "I'm gonna put you down so you can help look okay?" I ask the young girl, and again, she just nods. I lower her to the ground and she grabs by bandaged hands tightly.

We begin searching again, then all of the sudden I feel an emptiness in my palm and look down at my hand only to see the young girl was gone. I look over to my left and see her jumping into a man and a woman's arms.

I walk over and they are all crying as they grasp each other as if their lives depended on it.

The dad looks up at me. "Thank you for bringing our dear Angilee back to us. We are forever grateful to the Holy Knights." I smile slightly.

The dad returns to the hug and the mom is planting kisses all over the girls face. "Angilee huh." I say to myself as I admire the family.

An image of my parents and I hugging like that family was appears in my mind. It was right after I had gotten lost when we went to the market looking for groceries.

I smile at the memory and it makes me wonder if I want to be a Holy Knight for my whole life. Or if this is juts another chapter in my book of life.

I see the mother give her daughter a beautiful white flower. I expect Angilee to hand it to her mom to put in her hair, but instead Angilee turns in my direction and runs over. She makes a motion with her free hand for me to bend down to her level. So I do, and Angilee smiles at me as she put the flower behind my ear.

I'm surprised by her action but before I could say anything, Angilee wraps her arms around my neck once more, pulling me into a hug.

"Thank you." I say to her as she walks back to her parents. Her parents faces look delighted and proud of their daughter, and they wave in my direction. I wave back, then walk back out of the room.

I look at a window and am able to see a partial reflection of me. The flower looks beatific against my {h/l}, {h/c} hair and my {s/c} skin. I run my fingertips along it and smile.

"That moment made me question my whole life." I think to myself as I chuckle.

My expression goes serious as I see a black misty figure out of the corner of my eye. I spun around and see the black figure from the day my parents died.

I don't say anything. I start walking towards his direction and I unsheathed my sword.

"Yes {Y/N} let your rage take over. Let you become what you had dedicated your life to protecting the people of this world from. Become what humans fear. Become what the young girl you saved fears most." He says in the wispy voice I loathe.

I reach him and slam his body against a wall and throw my hand out with my sword directly in front of his throat.

He cackles and his figure faded away and in his place is the Holy Knight who had brought me here. I step back with a scared expression on my face and sheathe my sword.

He looked terrified and was pressed against the wall and didn't move out of fear of me.

"I- I didn't-" I start as I keep slowly backing away. "I can't stay here. I have to leave. I'm just putting everyone here in danger. Please, tell the king that I reside my promise to the Holy Knights out of fear of hurting my friends." I say to the Holy Knight as I turn and sprint out of the castle.

I don't stop running until I reach the forests. "I have no where to go." I say as I drop to my knees. "I really am a fuck up."

I stand up again. "I know only one place but they would just kick me out as soon as I stepped in. Cause they think I'm a Holy Knight. That's the only place I can go though... I can explain. I'll just explain if they say they don't want any business with me. You got this {Y/N}!"

Then began my long journey on foot back to the place called the Boars Hat which was run by the seven deadly sins.

Welp this happened as I was driving home from my family's cabin so sorry if it seems kinda rushed or there are plenty of errors.

But since I'm home I'll attempt to write some more... or I'll write less since I won't have as much stuff to do and I'll probably be kicked out of the house to go outside... we shall see I guess
