•_•: This Prologue and the chapters after are all the new version of TMOM

(I f*cking love this song, and I believe it is the inspiration to a lot of TMOM parts)

Her eyes.

Blue eyes, as breathtaking as the day they opened at birth. So blue her eyes could intimidate the bluest of oceans, they were the eyes that were sung about in songs. The eyes that you would only read in books and see in heavily photoshopped images.

But they were not as lively and full of emotions, as they were years ago. Now brimmed to the edge with tears as they were full of uncertainty and fear, fear of what was happing as she was viciously dragged by her ankle down the staircase.

All while kicking, the sharp edges of the stairs left bruises and bloody scrapes on her delicate body. Her jaw had clenched when she was grabbed, and now, she was leaving a trail of blood from the cut at the tip of her tongue on the white marble stairs.

The blue-eyed boy was left with a choice. To stay and save his sister but not himself from the greedy and vicious hands of his stepfather or to run. Run and leave behind his own blood, his own baby sister.

He could no longer see her, the trail of blood was the only thing left of her as it disappeared behind the corner that led to the living room.

He was deaf to his sister's screams, the only thing he heard was his own ragged breath and the pumping of a heart in his ears. It reminded him of his mother, how he and his sister would lay on top of her chest to hear her heart and mimic the noise.

But he knew it wasn't his mother's soft yet strong heartbeat. Because her heart had stopped beating years ago. No, it was his.

Increasing and overpowering the cries of his own name that came from his baby sister's bloody mouth. The floor beneath him felt like it was shifting, his eyes squinted as the yellow light emitting from the chandelier felt brighter than a thousand fireflies.

Reid!

The soft and usually quiet voice boomed in his head like a loud gong. But it felt as though it was too late, he was too far away. And he knew he couldn't help her even if he wanted to, Adeline was too weak to fight along with him.

His stepfather's unnatural strength could break bones in one punch. Yet he could still hear his sister alive, groaning in pain and muffled cries.

Slowly and as careful as he was the day he broke his leg when he was 7. He stepped down the stairs, one by one they seemed to be shorter than ever.

He was not prepared to see what was happening to his baby sister. He expected punches and deep cuts from his stepfather's claws.

Instead, he was introduced to a new horror, his sister's broken eyes as she was being not only deeply scratched but also deeply impaled by their stepfather's cock. Her red wet lips covered by the hairy hand of their stepfather and her back bending almost to breaking point.

Like it was done on purpose, Reid's stepfather, Eric had perfectly positioned Adeline and himself for Reid's viewing.

He could see everything, his sister spread open and pushed over an arm of the tufted brown leather sofa, while Eric stood a leg bent on a cushioned seat. His tanned and toned hairy chest moist with sweat as his hips thrust barbarically into his baby sister bleeding virgin hole. Adeline's soft porcelain skin deeply contrasted with the blood that heavily oozed out of her lacerations. Reid had been mistaken to think that his sister would not go out with a fight; because as he stood rigid and unmoved by the atrocious actions being done to his sister, Adeline tried her hardest to scratch and kick Eric.
