The Broken (Book 1: Broken series)

The beginning

"You guys scared me half to death" I said laughing  

I grabbed the food from my mother and walked towards the dinning table where everybody is now sitting, they all looked at me with big smiles on their faces  

"Thank you guys" I said grateful I started chowing down my pancake, but I could feel eyes on me, I looked up to see all of them staring at me with huge smiles, my brows furrowed in confusion  

"What?" I asked confused, and now feeling self conscious  

"We're excited to meet the future brother in-law" said my older brother laughing with the others I choked on my pancake, I grabbed the glass of juice and gulped it down 

"Shut up!" I yelled at them while they laughed  

"Idiots" I mumbled then continued to eat my birthday breakfast 

My brothers may be idiots sometimes but they are the most awesome brother anyone can ever wish for, the first born is Aiden, his 24 years old, he is six feet two inches tall, brown eyes, black hair, and well built, he likes being a mechanic for the pack but what he loves the most is being the top fighter for the pack, he became the top fighter when he went around the world for 6 years looking for his mate, while he was traveling he had trained with the top fighters of every pack in the world and that's why his the top fighter of our pack, but sadly he still hasn't found his mate, he will someday I know this cause he is determined that he will  

My second older brother is Chris, his 22 years old, he is five feet nine inches tall, blue eyes, black hair, also well built, he works as one of the Alpha's guards, we call them pack fighters his job is to protect the alpha or the alpha to be, but at this moment his assigned to the alpha, he also loves his job he takes it very serious that's why the alpha favors him, the alpha took him on trip to the south side packs for an annual meeting last year and that's where he met his mate, Anna 

Anna is a beautiful woman, she is 20 years old, she was five feet two inches, beautiful long blonde hair with green eyes, she has all the bumps in the right places, including her stomach now that she is pregnant, she's very lively and bad ass when she needs to be, she's very gentle and soft spoken the perfect girl for Chris 

And then there was my folks, my mother is the pack doctor an excellent one at that. she is five feet five inches tall, with brown eyes and black hair, she looks very young to be in her mid 30's,  

And my father, my father stood at six feet five inches, Blonde hair blue eyes, super big with muscles, he works as a pack lawyer and many more, he was like the superman of our pack taking whatever the alpha assigns to him, and he makes everything work 

We're super close, we don't have any secrets between us, we have family meetings every Thursday night to talk about our problems or help each other out with whatever problems we may have, we have our ups and downs but we always work through them 

"So Kira, are you excited to find your mate?" I gulp down my juice before answering Aiden 

"Well, I don't want to build my excitement and figure out later that he isn't in this pack" as soon as I said it I wished I could take it back 

"I'm sorry" I immediately said but Aaden shook his head with a smile  

"No it's ok, I understand" he gave me a reassuring smile, I slumped down on my chair feeling guilty  

"I hope he is so you don't have to travel across the world" he said trying to joke but it was to late I was already feeling guilty about what I said 

"Can someone drive me to school" I said getting up grabbing my backpack  

"I'll go" he said getting up I slumped all the way to the car waiting for him, he got in the car and before he started the car he looked at me  

"I know that you all think that not finding my mate or even saying what you said earlier is killing me but its not, it just means that I still have hope" he reached his hand out to my hand and squeezed it  

"I may be sensitive but not that much, if you do find your mate please be happy cause seeing you happy will give me even more hope in finding her" I looked up at my brothers smiling face  

"Okay?" I smiled and nod my head  

"Okay" he gave me a smile once again, he took his hand back and started the car  

"Now, let's go find this new brother of mine" he said while turning the car on I shook my head at his comment 

We drove up in front of the school seeing a lot of people walking towards the doors, humans and werewolf's, the human girls glanced our way checking out my brother, I rolled my eyes at them  

"Are you nervous?" I took a deep breath in and let it out slowly  

"A little" I said looking at the stainless double doors full of students, and I can't help but think that one of those werewolf boys is my mate 

"Just go about your day as you normally do" Aiden instructed but I know there was nothing normal about this day, I said my goodbyes to my brother then I stepped out of the car closing the door I looked towards the entrance again taking a deep breath in and letting it out slowly  

"Ok Kira just go through the day like normal, no need to start panicking" I told myself 

"Keep calm" I said after I passed the football team that were standing on the stairs, I walked pass the students that were standing near the door hoping that nobody jumps up and yells mate and luckily no one did 

I let out a sigh of relief and continued to walk through the halls towards my locker, I stood in front of my locker putting in the combination six, two, four, nine, zero, two, it clicked open, I started to put some of my stuff in there and grabbing the books I needed the morning class I stuffed them in my bag and closed my locker again locking it I turned around still trying to stuff my math book in my bag when I bumped into someone, and a bolt of pleasurable sparks ran up my arm through my whole body, I almost let out a moan but was quick to clamp my jaw shut, I looked up to see who this person that shocked me was  

"Look where you're going bitch" there stood the most popular guy in school, Silo Adams Mitchell  

Silo was the school's biggest football star, but he was also known for his looks, he was six feet tall, incredible blue eyes, jet black hair that was always messy but hot, and muscles to die for he was the soon to be alpha, the next in line to lead this pack 

"You" my voice barely audible but I know he could hear me  

"Are you deaf?" a scratchy voice broke my concentration, I turned towards the voice to see Taylor Hanna Boivin 

Taylor was well known too, but not for her looks or her title as the head cheerleader, but for her title as the school slut, she was a werewolf too, she stood about five feet two inches, she had bleach blonde hair, blue eyes and a killer body, which she gets by starving herself, no one really knows if she has a mate or not she was always hanging on Silo, like now for instance  

"Silo! silo!!" she yelled snapping her fingers in his face trying to get his attention off of me and to  her, but to my wolf and I satisfaction he didn't even move his eyes away form us, until she started sucking his face he pushed her away looking at her annoyed  

"You weren't paying attention to me" she said giving him a sad face, he just looked at her annoyed I was about to say what my wolf has been howling in my head when the bell rang, he looked at me once more before he pulled Taylor towards the door to my right  

"Lets go to class" he said still walking towards the door, my heart sank at the site before my eyes and before I could do anything more the students started pilling in the hall way making it impossible to talk to him, I decided to talk to him at lunch.
