"Detective Taehyung, please have a seat." The Cheif of police said gesturing to the chair in front of his desk. Up until this point, Taehyung was more or less awkwardly standing by the door. He did not want to be in this room with every fiber of his being. Every time anyone was in this room something big would happen, and the rest of the office would talk about it for weeks. Thanks to having one of the closets workspaces next to his office Taehyung had the pleasure of overhearing many things. Such as people being promoted and demoted. And others who were scolded for letting a prime suspect or perpetrator go.  He never means to intrude on there conversations its just that they're usually loud. Either the Chief is talking loudly or someone is screaming for joy because of their promotion or people start sobbing. It always sounded chaotic in the Cheif's office and now he's standing in the room that has been the source of many headaches in the past.

Taehyung moved toward his desk and sat in the chair closest to the door. "Sir, if you don't mind me asking, what is this all about?"

"Taehyung how are things between you and your partner? I remember when I first assigned you to Detective Ji Soo you had some complaints," The Cheif stated.

"Ji Soo and I are fine he's warmed up to me now so our teamwork has improved vastly compared to when I was first set up with him," Taehyung said. 

"That's good then. I'm glad that worked out but for now, I have a new partner for you!" The chief stated while Taehyung sat there rather dumbfounded at said statement. It took him for what felt like an eternity just to get used to Jisoo and his crazy-ass schemes. He'd use everything and anything to make an excuse as to why they need to undercover to catch someone. All because Jisoo couldn't sit still, so since stakeouts were out of the question with this guy they were always going undercover for even the stupidest thing. If they need to catch a drug dealer Taehyung would make a plan to watch them so they can take pictures of the said dealer dealing out drugs so that way they can bust him during the day. Meanwhile, his partner preferred to be live bait who'd meet up with the drug dealer and then have a fudge ton of back so he couldn't have anywhere to run to.

Now, after months of adapting to Jisoo's brand of insanity and finally getting comfortable the chief of police was telling him that he'd have to start all over with a new partner.Fan-freaking-tastic! "All right you can come in now!" The Cheif hollered. A young patrolling officer walked in to the office. Taehyung notice that the name tag he sported said Jeon Jungkook. The first thing Jungkook did was bow to the chief and then Taehyung. "What's this about, sir?" Jungkook asked.

The Cheif stood up and placed a hand on Jungkook's shoulder, "Congratulations Jungkook your being promoted to a detective!" Jungkook face instantly broke out into a smile. "No way! That's awesome!" Jungkook shouted clearly elated at news. Meanwhile, Taehyung put a hand to his temple as he felt a headache coming on. A rookie, Taehyung thought, I'm being partnered with a rookie. Taehyung did not appreciate the thought that his new partner was a complete newbie to being a detective at all. The kid look like a total virgin to crime, like the worst thing he ever delt with was purse snatcher. To Taehyung, Jungkook looked completely unprepared for what was included in his new job description. 

"And this your new partner, Taehyung. I'm expecting Taehyung to show you the ropes and what not. And you ought to be on your best behavior Jungkook. That means no sneaking out of work to play Overwatch at a pc cafe." It was at this statement that Jungkook grin sheepishly and scratched the back of his head. He then quickly bowed and said, "Yes sir, sorry sir, it won't happen again sir!" 

God that kid is loud, Taehyung thought as he winced from how loud his voice was. "In any case, I have a case for you two to start working on but that can wait till tomorrow. For today I want you two to start getting use to one and another. Have lunch together, celebrate Jungkook's promotion, I don't care what you to do as long as it's together. I have nothing to say other than that so you two are dismissed. Consider yourselves off for the rest of the day." 

With that Jungkook and Taehyung got up to leave but before they could successfully escape the chief said something else, "Jungkook stick to Taehyung like glue because he's going to constantly be trying to find away to ditch you. Hand cuff your self to him if you have to he hates social interaction so this will be good for him." Jungkook turned to nod at him and said "yes sir!" Taehyung purposely hit his head on the door frame as they left because he felt that a face plam wouldn't express his fustration well enough.  

"So where are we going?" Jungkook asked as he climbed into the passenger seat of Taehyung's Kia. "Not sure yet. I need to call some one before we go though so if you can stay silent during the call I'd be grateful,"  Taehyung said whiping out his Iphone 8 and pulling up his contacts. "Grateful enough to pay for lunch?" Jungkook asked raising an eyebrow. "Only if you're reasonable, no seconds on me," Taehyung said pressing the call button on the contact he wanted to contact. "Deal!" Jungkook said eagerly right as the person on the other side of the land answered.

"So Jimin how are you? Is business going as good as usual?"

"I'm good but the business isn't the same without my number one costumer. When are you gonna stop by?" 

"Soon hopefully, that is, you have the stuff in Stock right?" Taehyung asked

"Your lucky Tae we just got a new shipment in stock today. We haven't even put them on displace yet."

"Perfect! I'll be there in ten minutes!" Taehyung sang happily as he hanged up and jabbed his keys into the ignition.

The phone was not on speakerphone so Jungkook only heard Taehyung's half of the conversation and it sounded pretty shadey to him. "We're not going to meet your drug dealer, right?" 

"Jungkook we're not going to meet a drug dealer. We are going shopping!" Taehyung said excitedly while Jungkook thought he looked crazy as his foot slammed on the gas.
