Kara fixed her glasses as she looked at the displays, a sharp pain hit her hand, She looked down a small Blue and red spider sat on her hand, her hand slowly swelled up, The spider dropped down and ran away.

Leaving a very confused Kara, She ignored it and took another picture.

Time skip

Kara ran into her aunt's apartment "Aunt Eliza" She called out

"Kara sweetie, How was the field trip" Her aunt replied

"Great, I got some good photos, I was wondering if you could Go over to Lena's"

Eliza smiled at her niece "Go ahead sweetie, Be back before 9"

Kara hugged her aunt "Thanks", The blonde ran picked up Her camera and slipped it into Her old leather bag. Quickly making her way to her friends house, Knocking she scratched her hand, Remembering the swollen bite, before she could do anything the door swung open

"Kara, Sorry I couldn't make it to the field trip my mom needed me at her work" Lena apologised as the blonde walked

"It's cool, I took photos for you" Kara pulled out her camera, Shaking it slightly

"Thank you, You are the absolute best"

Kara head started to spin, She pressed her hand into her Chest trying to clear the nausea she was feeling

"Hey you ok?" The Luthor asked, her voice full of concern

The blonde shook her head, "Look, I need to go, I'll see you tomorrow at school" Kara ran out as fast as she could

Her legs carried her a fair distance, She surprised herself by not throwing up, Finally she made it to her aunts apartment, Throwing up in the toilet, her aunt immediately rushed in holding up Kara's blonde locks

"Hey sweetie, It's ok" Eliza said, her voice calm

The gagging continued, a few tears escaping the girls eyes, finally when it stopped she flushed the toilet and lay down on the cold floor

"What happened, Was it food poisoning?"

Kara shook her head, "I don't think so, Do you mind if I spend some time on my own?"

Eliza nodded and walked out.

The blonde looked up at the mirror, She smiled, Something felt off, She pulled off her pink sweater, Leaving a white t-shirt, To Kara's shock her muscles had grown out, She lifted the cloth up revealing a six pack, "What the hell" Her hand traced the muscles, making sure it was real.

Kara leaned against the wall, taking a deep breath, She moved to try and figure more out but her hand wouldn't budge, She tried to pull harder "Damn it"

Eventually the girl's hand pulled away, Kara Took a deep breath, She pulled out her phone and looked at a picture of Alex "what would you do?", She took in her cousins features carefully, Her cousin was like a sister to her. Picking up a pair of scissors she sighed

"This is stupid" Carefully she cut her hair, Until it was as short as Alex's, The blonde hair fell to the ground, She smiled looking at her new haircut.

The door opened and Eliza walked in "Oh my goodness sweetie your hair"

"I look like Alex" Kara smiled sadly

"I miss her too sweetie, you tidy up and I will make some food"

The girl nodded, She Tidied up Her mess.

Next day

Kara walked into her school, The place she hated the most. Quickly she ran into Lena

"Oh my goodness, Your hair looks great..." The Luthor paused

The blonde smiled nervously

"Have you been taking steroids, Of all people, I thought you hated sport"

Kara started to panic "Me, Steroids What, that's ridiculous" She gently set her pale hands on the Luthor's shoulders "I wouldn't even dream of it, I promise"

Lena pushed her finger into Kara biceps "Than why are these so strong"

"I have been working out" She lied

"Wow, Kara Danvers worked out, What next?" Lena laughed

Kara offered a nervous Giggle "Yeah, Let's go to class" She pushed her short blonde hair out of her face

Kara crouched at the top of a building, Rain slowly starting to fall, She wiped the water from her lenses

A young women called up. Using her webbing she hung upside down, Face to face with Lena Luthor

"I would like to thank you for saving me, again"

Kara smiled under her mask, and replied her voice muffled by the material "It's all in a days work"

Slowly Lena pulled the mask up to Kara noes, so it sat nicely, revealing her pale lips

"Do I know you without your mask?" Lena asked

"I wish, My life would be fantastic" The blonde lied

Slowly they leaned in, rain pouring down both there faces, There wet lips met, But Kara pulled away "I'm sorry, You are amazing, and I really like you, But you could get hurt, and it would my fault"

Lena sighed "Come on, You could protect me"

The blonde shook her head "It's not that, under the mask, That's what could hurt you"

"I could never hate you, The number off times you saved me-"

Kara cut Lena off "No, I should I have been honest with you earlier, I just can't loose someone else I love"

The Heroine swung away into the wet night, When she got home, She dried off and slipped into some warm pjs.
