Just a Thought

I wish everyone would realize how similar we are to eachother, to notice that before anything that we choose to be, we are humans. And before that we are souls. We have feelings and emotions. We all have thoughts, fall in love, and get depressed in different ways and for different reasons. Before looking at the little things that make us different, we should recognize everything else that makes us alike. We are all unique, but it's a uniqueness that completes our oneness to become one part of a whole. We have all been through something that changed us at some point in our lives. It may have strengthened us, or perhaps weakened us. Maybe both at different times, and maybe at the same. And if it hasn't happened yet, then there's a possibility it will. We must not feel jealousy or anger because we faced something the other hasn't, and if we have, then we must learn to forgive ourselves for that, and to forgive eachother. Each one of us has a different story, and despite that, we are all different versions of ourselves. You could have been that person, they could have been you. But you had the honor of being responsible for the soul that was gifted to you. You have a significant role in this world, and even if we might believe that we aren't important because someone else did something better or bigger, eventhough we may not know what our role in life is now, and may believe that we'll never know, it does exist. And it's your choice whether you'd like to fulfil that role, or even change it. Just because something seems impossible, doesn't mean it is. Every little thing we decide to do has consequences, as the 'butterfly effect' states. As long as we are alive, as long as we have the will to make a difference, we can make a change, and we will. So help the weak instead of being the reason they need a therapist, stand up against tyranny and oppression despite how big or small it may seem and speak the voice of justice when helping the oppressed and those who can't speak and need your help; help the poor and be one of the reasons that they were able to feel happiness in their life. Be there for the young, be the role model you wished to have, the one you didn't have the privilege and chance to cherish. Listen to the old, learn from their pasts, and be the reason they hope for and believe in a better future. Accept the strange and unknown, for in it we may learn new concepts that may open our eyes to a new way of thinking and perceiving our existence. Forgive and try to understand those who don't understand you, for everything that's happened in your life has led you to understand everything you do now, but no one has been in your shoes their whole lives, so if they argue with you or don't understand, then explain, because the fact that they put in the effort to ask or even open the subject means that there's something that they should know, and you're the cause that they will know, and one of the reasons they may come to a better understanding in life instead of staying ignorant or oblivious. You're a way they'll become better, so don't slap them in the face with sarcasm when they ask, because you may have gotten a laugh out of it, but the person who was either directly or indirectly asking you for help, remained helpless. The same applies for them. Finally, always be kind. To the small, the big, the young, the old, the weak, the strong, the live, and deceased, to their memory. To thoughts, ideas, dreams, events, cultures, and traditions of the world, to the enthusiasm of a child, to the creativity and passion of the old. Always be kind, and never forget that it's never too late to change your life and the lives of others for the better.
