Wash your hair. This style works best on very straight, glossy hair. Use a straightening iron to smooth out your hair completely before proceeding.

The smoother your hair, the more elegant this style looks and the more likely that you can use it for a wedding or a special occasion.

Part your hair in the center. Select a small section of hair on one side of the braid about midway along the part. Comb it straight, then divide it into three sections.

Braid the hair until the end. Secure with a small hair elastic.

Repeat in the same place but on the opposite side of your head. Secure with another hair elastic.

Create the bow. You will have two braided pieces of hair and the rest of your hair is still hanging straight and untouched. Take the two braids and tie them into a bow at the back of your head. This is a lot easier if you have a helper.

Make sure that the bow loops are large and evenly shaped each side. Aim for a symmetrical bow. Secure the middle of the bow with hair pins. Secure any other part of the bow that feels loose with hair pins.

Finish by binding the tail of the bow. Twist the two tails together, then wrap to bind with ribbon. Tie the ribbon off.
