We became so smart, we no longer needed to think. So we turned everything over to the machines.
"This individual fits into this machine," they would say, and assign us to our new tasks.
Some of us were builders. Some were consumers. And some were merely fuel for the fire.
And we congratulated ourselves.
"Look how intelligent we are," we said, as the flames rose higher and higher.
