Kayla was stressing Ahmad to a totally different level.

Ever since he and Ciera started being friends again, she was constantly trying to tell him what to do.

Text me back fast

Hang out with me everyday

Don't be texting Ciera around me.

It was honestly irritating Ahmad's soul.

The longer Aj was with Kayla, the less he was with Cj and it pained him. They made up and he was still missing out on things going on in his best friend's life and he didn't want that. But he didn't want to leave Kayla either.

While Ahmad was at home, getting ready for work, he got a call from his girlfriend.

"Hey babe," he says, trying to sound as cheery as possible.

"Hey baby. You getting ready for work?"

"Yea. What's up?"

"Well, I wanted to let you know that I'm going on a family vacation this week so I won't see you until next Monday."

Ahmad smiled, but changed the monotone in his voice.

"Awe really? Damn, what am I gon do then?"

Kayla giggles,

"I'll be back soon. I'll even bring you back sum."

"That sounds dope. But I gotta finish getting ready for work so I'll talk to you later."

After hanging up, Ahmad was overjoyed. A break from his overly bearing girlfriend was just what he needed. No one would be breathing down his neck, questioning him all the time. It would be great.

Or so he thought. Kayla text him the first two days after her departure non stop. It was like she hadn't even left.

Kayla: "wyd"

Kayla: "you miss me? 😘"

Kayla: "I hope you not spending all your time with Ciera 💀"

"Man, this shit is killing me!" He throws himself down on his bed. He looks across the street and sees Ciera's car in the driveway.

He texts her, asking if she wanted to come over and gets a "yea, I'm omw" a few seconds later.

Ciera walks into his room, giving a smile.

"Long time no see, nigga."

Ahmad rolls his eyes,

"What's good, midget? You been aight?"

"I've been straight," she replies, sitting on his bed. "Just working and getting ready for my senior year."

"Oh true."

Ciera noticed Ahmad's off mood.

"You been good? You and Kayla?"

"Mane," Ahmad scratches his head. "She's be killing me. Always wanting attention and makin rules."

"Makin rules?" Ciera laughs.

"Yea, she always got some sort of regulation of sum."

"Like waht?"

"I gotta text her good morning when I first wake up and goodnight before I go to sleep, I gotta "I love you" instead of jus "love you" and I'm not allowed to text you around her."
