Nathan's POV:
"Is é do locht atá againn sa phríosún seo." I could hear the faint line of jumbled words from my position. The tall blonde translated. Then my brother looked around. It wasn't him that moved, it was the brunette female that stormed towards me. She grabbed me by the hair and dragged me over. Bloody hurts. I was faced by my little brother and his friends.
"What did you do Nate?" Logi asked me. Little guy has grown up.
"This wasn't me," I insisted.
"Yeah, and I hate tomatoes," Logi said sarcastically.
"What are tomatoes?" I asked. Logi rolled his eyes.
"A food from Earth," Logi told me. I just looked at him.
"Cross my heart and hope to die, stick a dagger in my thigh," I said sincerely. Why an I made out to be the bad guy?
"He's being honest. Nate is too much of a coward to stick a dagger in his thigh," Logi said. He's lucky there's a kid around or I'd strangle him.
"I'm just as confused as the rest of you," I insisted.
"Alright. Connie, you're on babysitting duty," the tall blonde one told the blonde female.
"Why am I babysitting?" The blonde female insisted.
"Not the kids. Him," the tall blonde pointed at me.
"Jaxon~" the blonde woman whined.
"No buts. You're in charge of that. Laura, you're babysitting the actual kids. Logi and Lorenzo, you're with me," The tall blonde man said. That was when a first wave hit us. Leading this small army was none other than Oliver. I growled and searched for any form of weapon. He started this. I grabbed a metal pipe that had obviously fallen over, since it had a sign attached to it. I ripped the sign off and felt the cold metal against my hands. I hit the first attackers, watching as they morphed into giant dragons. I may have made a mistake by angering them.
"Grab the kids and run!" I bellowed at them. They all didn't need telling twice. Lorenzo stayed behind, grabbing a brick and holding it up.
"You ready?" He asked me.
"Always," I replied. I nodded and we launched our offensive, armed with only a pole and a brick. There were too many of them. We stood, back to back, fighting off the army.
"Link arms. I'm gonna swing you around and you kick them," Lorenzo said. I dropped the pole and kicked away the closest opponents. He hoisted me up like I was nothing and swang me around. I kicked out and I was put back down. I'm gonna need to dash for my weapon. That was when a spear was thrown at me. I plucked it out of the air and span it around. Barbed tip. I shoved the end into my opponent and pulled it back out again. I clicked who had thrown it. I aimed and threw it back.
"Return to sender," I yelled as it shot through his head. I gazed around at the bodies and pulled a sword from one of the Dravirs. I slashed at them.
"Nathan. Look out," Lorenzo said. I turned to see Dias launch himself at me, arrow in his hand like a spear. I expected him to hit me, but he got one that had been ready to kill me.
"I'm here," Dias said breathlessly. He took a deep breath and took the dagger from the one he had just murdered.
"Find me a knife," I instructed Dias.
"I have one here," Dias said, handing it over to me. Now I feel more at home. I exhaled and dashed right into the thick of the fight, slashing at all my opponents. I grinned as I watched the body count rise. Soon, Oliver won't have a man left to fight for him. That's when I saw him. He wasn't even fighting. Coward. I stormed over, leaving Lorenzo and Dias to finish the cleanup.
"I started what you wanted," Oliver said smugly.
"Did you now? I am not aware that you knew of my plan," I said, feigning surprise. Dias obvioisly told him.
"I knew all along dear boy. I am your father and you cannot change that," Oliver smirked. I rolled my eyes.
"I though mum knew everything?" I asked, recalling my early childhood.
"No, she lied to you. Now, why don't you stop siding with the earthers and join me. I can give you power you've never known before. You will be like my prince, the heir to my throne of power. You just have to fight alongside me," Oliver said, his voice hissed in places and he looked at me with his cold eyes.
"That sounds rather nice I must admit, but I won't join you," I said, bartering with the demon.
"My son, you are a truly powerful being. You killed a platinum angel, but a small army takes three of you to handle," Oliver taunted. I'm gonna lose it if he doesn't shut up.
"I think that an army is a bit stronger than an angel," I said.
"You killed the strongest one. Surely this is child's play?" Oliver asked me.
"Yeah, but I like a challenge. Plus, I'd like my name to go down in the history books," I smirked, punching at my father. He struck back, harder. He's spritely for an old codger.
"What a weak thing you are. Even I can beat you," Oliver taunted. This time I used my knife. I turned the blade inwards, so that I could cause maximum damage to my father, and slashed at him. He looked at me with pain in his eyes as the scarlet liquid poured out of his arm and into the ground. I smiled.
"Who's weak now old man?" I asked, my turn to taunt him. He pulled a serrated blade out of his belt and slashed at me. I luckily saw his move and dodged his attack.
"Nah, I got plenty of life in me," Oliver responded. It's gonna be a battle of the superpowers now. Something that I don't have.
