-Jo- Present

"Look Jo! They even gave us a little dirty bench so that we don't have to sit on the dirty ground!!" Alex always has a way of brightening my mood.
"Alex!" I chuckle, "a tiny toilet!!"
"Awww, I knew our first home together was gonna be just like this!!" He laughs falling onto the bench and patting it down, letting a layer of dust come off of it. I walk up to him and drop my eyes down to his level. "Oh Jo," the concern in his voice makes my legs buckle, but he's there to catch me.
"Alex," I murmur into his shoulder, as he steadies me, "Alex, I'm sorry."
He places me at arms length, "don't say that," he demands, "don't even think that for one minute I wouldn't have come with you." He pulls me close again and tucks his chin right against my head, the perfect fit, "I'd follow you anywhere," he whispers, which brings tears to my eyes.
"I just wish I could make this normal-"
"Anyone who has met me or you knows that we could never be normal, even if we tried."
At that, I take a deep breath and close my eyes-

We've got to find a way out.
