The laughter of children filled your ears, forcing you to smile along with them.

Someday, when you get married to a nice, sweet man with a well-paying job, you'd like to have kids of your own to play with.

Until then, you were fine by yourself.

You swung your feet back and forth on the swing, making you go higher and higher, until a sudden light force made you stop and see what hit you.

A child was lying on the ground behind you, crying and cupping the side of her face.

You jumped off and ran to her, kneeling in front of her.

"Are you okay?" You cupped her face as she sobbed.

No answer.

A young man ran over, sitting on his feet and picking the child up, cradling her in his arms.

"It's going to be okay..." He shushed the child soothingly, rubbing her head. "What happened?" He looked over at you worriedly.

"Well, I-I... I was on the swing. She must have ran behind me while I was going back down." You explained, glancing at his bright hair every so often.

He nodded, cupping the little girl's head. "Thank you for checking to see if she was okay. If her parents find out she got hurt under my supervision, they wouldn't pay me for a month!"

"Oh, you're her babysitter?" You asked.

He nodded again, his pink hair bouncing in the process. "Yeah, I really enjoy babysitting her. She's a great child." He pinched her tear stained cheek, moving her to one arm as he reached down to help you up.

You grabbed his hand as he pulled you up. "Thanks." You smiled, dusting off your legs.

He smiled back and started to run off towards where he was sitting earlier. "Hold on, stay here." You nodded, wondering what he was doing.

He came back with a notebook, ripping out a small piece of paper. He wrote something on it, folded it, and handed it to you. "So we can keep in touch." He smiled at you, his eyes turning into lines in the process.

You smiled softly at the piece of paper, and put it in your pocket. "Alright." You waved as you walked away, him returning the gesture, still smiling.

"Chim Chim, who was that?" The little girl asked, looking at him with her big, innocent eyes.

He just chuckled in response, messing her hair up as he walked away.
