Pedestal

The window he looked out was filled with small water droplets from the rain shower earlier. He noticed how the street lights luminated them perfectly and immediately he was lost in his thoughts. Jungkook did that often.

He'd get lost in the nature of the smallest things and drown out the rest of the world. Whether he'd be looking up at the stars through his camera lens or scribbling in his black leather encased journal, no one could distract him while he delved into his own reality.

No one...except his leader.

His leader was a whole distraction on his own. Glances where always shared to between the two. During interviews, dance practices, plane flights, car rides, game nights with the members, or even those lucky times Namjoon took him out to coffee shops, Jungkook secretly paid attention to each every little attribute his leader possessed. Unfortunately all was mostly one sided. Same thing applied to his feelings. Jungkook knew about his feelings towards Namjoon since he first laid eyes on him. He knew this man wasn't like any other human being he's ever had the opportunity to meet.

Namjoon to him was the diamond amongst piles and piles of worthless stones and Namjoon himself had no idea whatsoever the value he held within.

Jungkook on the other hand knew with his whole heart this man was the only person on earth that had the power to take him out of  his little secluded bubble he made for himself at the young age of 15.

He always thought life was moving faster than he could keep up with, so he'd find peace within his slow paced utopia. With that being said his members always found him playing video games, listening to music or scribbling about in his journal.

Now, his journal was something no one had permission to lay a finger on.

No one.

If you were caught within one meter of said journal the boy knew. Yoongi and Hoseok would joke around and call it his 6th sense. They were wrong though. It was his 7th sense, the 6th being able to sense every single dad joke Jin had to offer seconds before he even uttered a word.
Speaking of Jin, Jungkook loved his hyung from the bottom of his heart but he  was always jealous of him. Jungkook knew Jin liked RM since they were trainees. Jin always stood by Namjoon or sat near him whenever he had the chance and Jungkook never did anything about it because to him Namjoon was untouchable. Jungkook put Namjoon on a pedestal to where he wouldn't dare come close to...at least to him he couldn't. He thought he wasn't as mature as RM or Jin to even have a shot at making a move. So he kept his distance but always envied his hyung even now.

Especially now.

It was the beginning of March, butterflies were flapping all around, birds were chirping and Jungkook was curled up in bed sketching a drawing on his journal...in the dark. The members know not to enter his room when the lights were off unless it was urgent. So he turned on his lamp and continued his sketch. He loved using his drawings and photographs to express his inner thoughts and feelings. So its to no surprise that most of his drawings were of Namjoon.

Jungkook usually drew his hyungs, but Namjoon was always the center of his masterpieces. If it were a simplistic drawing he'd ideally have Namjoon looking up at the stars with a fraction of a white circle symbolizing the moon at the top of the page. Other more compelling drawings were of his love looking out towards the lights of a distant city with the coast line to his right, waves crashing and all, and to his left were the peaks of snowy mountains with a hint of aura burealus drizzling the night sky above them. All these master pieces were for his eyes and his eyes only. He couldn't imagine what he would do if anyone were to find his drawings especially if Namjoon himself discovered his drawings. He had no idea what he would do. Probably crawl in a hole and die.

Just kidding.

Or am I?

Anyways...

Jungkook was spending his free time after those long tiring tour months with himself . As for the other members, Hoseok was with Yoongi at a park nearby licking the ice cream off of some vanilla flavored cones. Jin, Taehyung, and Jimin decided to go shopping at Coex mall like they do every weekend spending endless hours browsing through the isles of clothing. Which left Namjoon in his studio working on his next musical gem and Jungkook in his room away from reality and focused on his artwork.

Namjoon was about 2 hours into his newest track when he unfortunately reached a writer's block. He felt it was just about the right time to take a break and head out to clear his head and allow his creative mind a rest.

RM got himself dressed in a pearl white shirt, denim jeans, brown virgil boots, and a pair of black shades with his casual brown beaded necklace.

As he headed out, olive green jacket in hand he passed Jungkook's room and paused to find the light was off. He knew it was a long shot but Joon didn't feel like going out alone this one night, so he took his chance and knocked on the door.

"Jungkook?" Namjoon cautiously asked.

"Hmm?" Jungkook merely murmured from the other side of the door.

Stunned Namjoon hesitantily asked further.

"I'm heading out to Han's. Wanna join? I don't wanna go by myself."

Han's was a small cafe located along the bank of the Han river that they usually frequented during their free time. Jungkook loved it. It was the one place away from home that he felt so comfortable and secure. It had such a warm atmosphere every time they visited. He loved it even more when Namjoon was the one who took him. Namjoon would usually bring a small novel to read while Jungkook brought either his journal or laptop to entertain himself while sipping his white chocolate mocha. This place was a small piece of heaven on earth. Next to Namjoon of course.

Jungkook leaped off his bed quickly, nearly slipping on yesterdays dirty clothes on the floor. He regained his balance and opened the door peeking his head out revealing disheveled hair.

"Give me five minutes!" Jungkook looked at Joon and hurriedly closed the door.

Namjoon smiled. He knew how much Jungkook loved going to that place. He especially knew  how wide his smile would get when at the cafe. Joon also knew about how Jungkook just stares off into nothingness sometimes resulting in Namjoon snapping his fingers in front of the boy's face to bring him back to reality. Little did he know the things that went into young Jungkook's head.
