Prologue

You can't blame someone for leaving, if you never gave them a reason to stay.

I was tired of living in that stupid city. Tired of the people, the air, the houses and the rumors.

“Carrie are you ready? You can’t miss the plane!!!” – Mum shouted knocking on the door.

Well, here  we go. My name is Carrie and I’m twenty years old. I’m british and I’m on the second year of performing arts. I want to be a professional dancer. I’m a blonde with blue eyes.

But that doesn’t really matter does it ?

Yeah it doesn’t.

“I’ll be right there mum! I’m just finishing up something.”

I finally got a spot on AMDA: The American  Musical and Dramatic Academy. I was going to leave Doncaster for good. This town reminds me of so much…

I grabbed the letter I had written and went down the stairs. I left the letter on his mail box and got in the car driving towards the airport.

A lot of stuff were coming to mind as the car drove by the streets of Doncaster… The first day of school as well as the last one, my new friends and enemies…

But what I will never forget is the first time I saw him, the first time I talked to him, the first time we hugged, that time when he kissed me and later broke my heart… Tears streamed down my face. I leaned back on the car seat.

I left my whole life in that town, without even looking back one last time to say goodbye.
