Chapter 4- Voice of an Angel

Kita

While I was humming I knew I would start to sing. In my mental (awesome) song list, I choose My Immortal by Evanscence. Amy Lee (the singer of the band) is very kick-butt to me, I love all of her music. One reason I was about to sing in the first place was because I had noticed the momma tiger come into the clearing. Either way I knew she wouldn't hurt me, no animal, wild or tame, has every hurt me for some reason. I can also talk to them (with my mind), though it is kind of confusing, especially feeling their emotions.

This talent is one Kyle didn't have, much to his dismay, most wild animals highly disliked him and would only come near him if I influneced them. It was like he had something about him that made their insticnts kick in. (or maybe they just don't like him period, hehe) For example, at the moment I could see the tiger eyeing my brother, as if he were some kind of danger, and she paid me no mind, already knowing I wouldn't hurt her or the cubs. In a way I was already her friend, I could pet them all if I wanted but I had to protect Kyle. So I sang, knowing the tiger would forget about my brother.

Song:

~I'm so tired of being here,

Surpressed by all of my childish fears

and if you have to leave

I wish that you would just leave

'Cause your presence still lingers here

and it won't leave me alone

These wounds won't seem to heal

This pain is just to real

there's just too much that time cannot erase

When you cried I'd wipe away all of your tears

When you'd scream I'd fight away all of your fears

and I've held your hand through all of these years

But you still have all of me

You used to captivate me

by your resonating light

now I'm bound by the life you left behind

your face it haunts my once pleasant dreams

your voice it chased away all the sanity in me

These wounds won't seem to heal

this pain is just to real

there's just too much that time cannot erase

When you cried I'd wipe away all of your tears

when you'd scream I'd fight away all of your fears

and I've held your hand through all of these years

and you still have all of me

I've tried so hard to tell myself that you're gone

and though you're still with me

I've been alone all along

When you cried I'd wipe away all of your tears

when you'd scream I would fight away all of your fears

And I've held your hand through all of these years

and you still have all of me

oh, me...

oh, me.....~

I ended the song quietly. While I sang I saw the tigers get nice and comfortable. Yet another thing that involves the whole 'I command thee animals, obey me' kinda thing. They just get naturaly relaxed when I sing to them. We've never figured out why, for any of our powers for that matter. Maybe one day we would find out and this would all make sense to us.

Since I had already drew the cubs I did a family portriat of their small family. I felt envious and sad, seeing them. Kyle, nor I, could remember our real parents. Our caretaker, the person who set us up with adoptive parents had said we just showed up at their doorstep when we were 4, compleate with amnesia, not remembering anything but our first names. A while after we discovered we were..different, we guessed..not compleatly human. I shook my head to clear my thoughts and got up. I looked at my compleated new pictures and I smiled. Perfect replicas, now all I have to do is add color later. I stealthy walked over to the cat family, the mom looked at me and quickly rose, and using my talent, she calmed down as I said,

"That's a good girl." I kept talking quietly, reasurring them all and petting them. The cubs fur was nice and fluffy, when I heard a branch snap at the edge of the clearing I jumped slighty and even more so when Kyle said, now right beside me,

"Just wolves, they won't bug us. Not since you sang anyway."

When the girl had started to sing, everything in me relaxed. It felt like I was being compleatly refreshed then softly carrassed, no harm would come to me. I could tell it was doing the same for Shara and Hailey as well.

~She has the voice of an angel.~ I looked down at Hailey kind of surprised, that was exactly what I thought.

~Somethings special about her, the boy too. Maybe they aren't compleatly human.~ I thought to them. Shara gave me a sharp look, though she looked like she had swam in the most cleanising, relaxing water. I was shocked to feel dissapointment when Shara's mind whispered into mine,

~We better leave, now.~ I didn't want to leave though. Not yet at least. I took a step forward, crushing a branch with my weight and I held absolutly still when the girl jumped. But then I heard the boys voice, apparently awake now, his voice was deep and melodic, just like the girls,

"Just wolves, they won't bug us. Not since you sang anyway." Even though he said this calmly it made my body iced all over.

~What does he mean? How does he know? Because she sang? What?~ my mind was everywhere at once as Hailey tugged on my sleeve, I looked at her and she thought to Shara and I,

~I think Shara's right, let's go.~ I nodded, and as we were walking away I looked back again, but this time to see the most intense pair of eyes staring straight into mine. Her eyes were a dark violet, but when the sun caught in them it looked like they changed to a silvery blue with dark rings that showed dark gold specks here and there. They were compleatly disarming, hypnotising, I thought,

~She looks like a witch. A very beautiful witch.~ I shuddered as I turned back around. I had seen curiousty in her eyes. But I knew she could be trusted, strange, by just looking at those witch like eyes it did this to me. Just great, I bet her twin had just as disarming eyes as she did. I wonder if we'll see them again. And oh boy, I did not now how soon...
