An Introvert's Sonnet

People called us numerous names, but none fits accurately

We’ve been labelled as anti-social, quiet or shy

But those aren’t what we are, we’re just introverts; naturally

And this sonnet is for everyone, to take a look from our eye

We prefer the quietness over the rowdy crowd

We’d rather stay home and read than go to a gathering

We love to just sit down in a park - watching the cloud

We find people who try to push into our boundaries annoying

People often confuses introversion as a despicable trait

Something to avoid, something bad, something undesirable

Why do people become introverts? Is it plain old fate?

But let me ask you this: is introversion really that terrible?

Have you considered that maybe we’re just hurt?

And introversion is just a way for us to be alert?
