"Where" he asked

I took out my phone and put in my password and handed him my phone showing a picture of Kayla.

"Damn bruh she sexy ass hell let me take her off your hands you don't deserve her na!" He exclaimed

"She fine ass hell so watch your girl around me cuz I'm a flirt"he mocked

"Nigga your r.kelly loving ass get the fuck outta here" I waved him off

"Whatever imma get outta here gotta a bitch waiting for me at the crib" he said

"Nigga I wrap it up veto to young for kids " he yelled back

I laughed to myself and started listening to the track and I sure nuff' sound good.I really wanna talk to Kayla because she told me she was at her new temporary job and she been there for almost 6 hours and it's 7:30 now.I picked up my phone and dialed her number

"Hello" she said softly on the other line

"Hey Kayla" I smiled

"Hi Chris" she spoke softly

"What's wrong" I asked

"Nothing" she sniffed

"Kayla tell me I hear you sniffing" I frowned

"My mom" she sniffed

"What about her" I questioned

"She died" she cried

I just froze and dropped my phone.It ain't crack because I got my otter box but that shit hit me by surprise.Never could I see someone I really care for losing they loved one because I know exactly how that feels because the hurt I felt when my dad died was horrible,I didn't wanna talk to know one,eat,pee,smoke do shit everything was a surprise.I can't believe her mama died and her mama been a strong cancer patient for 8 years and she finally let go.I don't know what I would do if my mama died,the only damn thing that matters to me,the reason I'm the person I am today dieing.The day I ever get that call I promise you my whole life would stop and go into another world.I don't wanna do nothing but comfort Kayla right now.I pick up the phone

"Want me to come over." I asked

"Yes please" she sniffs

"Be there in 20" I said as I hung up

Kayla POV

When Chris got here I couldn't do anything but cry in his chest.My mama was one of the strongest people I have ever met.I remember when she first explained to me how she had cancer.

~Flashback~

"Yes mama" I yelled as I walked up the stairs

"I wanna talk to you"she said patting the bed

"What's wrong mama you look like you been crying" I said touching her cheek

"We need to have a talk" she said firmly

I nodded my head looking at her trying to figure out what going on right now

"When I die I wanna black casket,pink roses,you don't have to bury me cremated is good-" she started

"Mama why are having this talk" I said with the most puzzled face

"I-I" she sighed "I have cancer...breast cancer to be exact" she sniffed wiping her nose

"Mama you serious" I asked "that ain't nothing to play about knowing that you could be gone any minute Mama don't play jokes like that , having breast cancer is serious please don't play around" I said

"Baby I'm serious I really have cancer" she said handing me papers

I sat there and scanned them for about 2 minutes and she for sure had cancer and it's o because I never imagined her out of all people having cancer.

I put a frown on my face and sat on the bed "this paper say you only got 5 years to live"

"It's could be short or it could be longer" she answered "but just know that I will always love you"

~Flashback Over~

I rocked in Chris arms and he said something that never occurred to me.

"Do you think they took her off life support?" He asked
