i don't understand
how you can look at me and see all there is you need,
when i feel every ache,
and every heartbreak i have put you through,
i don't understand how you can wrap your protective arms around my cracking body
and have the heart to put me back together
even after i lost count
on how many tears you have shed because of me,
i don't need you to follow me now
after i have let you go,
after i have been the better person, for once, for you,
just so you can end up in my arms once again,
slow dancing with me with a content smile upon that perfect face,
