On the radio, some time in 1995 Brandy commented on Aaliyah's style saying it was tacky and she would never dress like that because she had class and dressed like a lady, and it was apparent that Brandy's mother dissed Aaliyah as well. when asked to comment on this Aaliyah said I don't like to dwell on negativity.
