Aaliyah an awkward stage of her life:

"There was a point in my life when I was in fifth grade and I had pimples mainly on my forehead because I wore my hair on my face, that weren't cute. I also got teased because I was small. Before I hit 15, when I kinda came into my own, my legs were a little skinny. Everybody goes through that self-conscious stage at some point. You eventually come into your own. I grew to love being petite."
