I am not my Depression
Nor am I my Anxiety
I am not controlled
By these voices of mental illness
For they are just something
Living in my mindI am not my Insomnia
And I am not my Bipolar Disorder
These may seem to control me
But they do not identify
Who I am inside
Hidden in my mindI am not my Obsessive Compulsive Disorder
I am not my Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder
For these are only mental illnesses
I suffer with
But these are not who I am
Because I am not my mental illnessI am me.
