in the milky way galaxy,
you are the death of a star;
outer space you stay in forever,
from me, your light and heat is always so far.

so tell me when you explode as a supernova,
why does my heart ache so much?
if i'm not making any contact,
why does it feel like a sizzling touch?

the solar system is so vast,
and the universe even more so;
our galaxy, our milky way,
somehow it has turned into our home.

you may be a supergiant star,
but our universe grows and grows;
one day it'll be so much more infinite,
you, a tiny white dwarf will feel so alone.

i say you'll become a black dwarf,
but honestly i know deep in my soul;
instead of being beside me like a neutron star,
you'll swallow me like a black hole.

15 million flares seep into my eyes,
i stare and stare until it burns out;
i cannot keep myself from looking at you,
even if the explosion is way too big and loud.

the solar system may be massive,
and our universe is a garden to a bug;
but i will orbit around you still,
because you are the one i love.

in the milky way galaxy,
you are the death of a star;
i will never leave you,
until death do us part.
