"You mean like football?" Allison asked I would have asked the same thing if I wasn't friends with Stiles.
Jackson laughs before saying in all seriousness, "Football's a joke in Beacon. The sport here is lacrosse. We've won the state championship for the past three years."
Lydia looks at Jackson with a loving expression as she ruffles his hair getting me to shift I ruffle Stiles' hair all the time what does that mean.
"Because of a certain team captain..." Lydia gushes causing Jackson to smirk smugly at the complement.
"Well, we have practice in a few minutes. That is, if you don't have anywhere else--" Jackson said but was cut off in her attempt to say no but Lydia wouldn't take take it by cutting her off as well.
"Perfect! You're coming." Lydia said grabbing Allison and me by the hand and drags us to the lacrosse field, I looked to Stiles for help and he gives me a smile and thumbs up. I'm gonna kill him he knows how bad I am with people. Now I could take her down and Allison and I could make a run for it but why when I get to see Stiles fail.

Lydia dragged us to the bleachers and I excused myself and walked over to Scott and Stiles who were in the middle of a conversation.
"But if you play, I'll have no one to talk to on the bench. Are you really gonna do that to your best friend?" Stiles said and I was now behind him with a sickening sweet smile.
It's clear by Scott's tone of voice that, while he feels bad for that side effect of potentially making first line, he's not going to be talked out of trying out, "I can't sit out again. My whole life is sitting on the sidelines." Scott drops his bag near the bench, "This season, I make first line."
Stiles turns around and jumps letting out a yelp as he noticed before he hisses, "We need to get you a bell."
"You need to get a great funeral director." I returned and his face fell slightly as I continued, "I need more female friends?" I asked in disbelief.
"No I don't mean it like that." Stiles rushed, "I meant it as a joke."
"Well lucky for you Allison and I have the same interests so you can live another day and just because I've known you forever I'll put in a good word with Lydia because now I'm her best friend." I said mimicking her voice. Don't get me wrong Lydia seems great it just cheery people rub me wrong like why are they so happy.
Without warning he picked me up in a bone cursing hug repeatedly saying thank you. I ignored my heart bounding and breaking at the same time when he put me back down. Without saying another thing I walked back over to the girls.
"What was that about?" Allison asked smiling at me.
"I told him I'd put a good word in with a friend so he can get a stupid new thing for his car." I said sitting down next to Lydia.
"He seems to like you." Lydia hummed smiling.
"Nope we've only known each other since we where 4." I said with a shrug.
"But you like him." Lydia said. Am I that easy to read?
"What makes you say that?" I asked void of all emotion.
"Your face when he picked you up." Allison answered.
"You mean the look of shock?" I asked "Ahh yes that definitely reads crush." I said rather dramatically causing the girls to laugh and or giggle in Lydia's case.
"I'll find away to get you to confess your feeling one way or another." Lydia said as we went back to watching the boys play.
"Only if you know how to torture someone." I said and the girls have me a look of horror. "What? I'm stubborn that's the only way it will work." I said and they let out a sigh thinking I was joking. Little do they know I was completely serious.
