you don't know me.

you think you do because

you've seen a facebook post

or a tweet

or a photo.


you judged me based on

who you thought I should be.


who the hell  are you to

decide that?


how dare you spread lies —

lies that wrecked me.

lies that made me 

question everything 

about who I am.


you have no consequences

for what you did to me.

I'm sure you have never 

even given it a second thought.


you're out of my life now

but the damage you did to me 

has left a scar on my heart.
