I walked into the unfamiliar building and held my breath, this is it, this is the moment you've been dreading for the past few weeks. I took in a deep breath and walked in, immediately, I saw all eyes flit to me quicker than ever they scanned my outfit. Which consisted of a long black skirt, a purple button down blouse and a white scarf, Then they looked at my stoic face and murmurs started in all directions.

'that's the new girl, freakzoid's city kicked her out'

'who on earth wears these things now days, what does she live under a rock?"

Instead of feeling ashamed at how they were mocking me and my outfit, I felt good, that means I'm on the right track so that's great. I kept walking keeping my eyes firmly trained on the floor and counting each step I take to calm myself down, so far so good, I glanced briefly at the small paper tucked in my hand Locker No. 126.

124.. 125.. 126 Got it.

I opened the locked with shaky hands and reprimanded myself for being so nervous, what? it's not like it's the first time you've been new at a school before, you need to calm down, I thought irritatedly.

Putting all of my things and books inside, I took out my small copy of Wuthering Heights and closed the locker almost screaming in fright as I took in a face smiling straight at me. He smiled widely and I noticed the 2 little dimples on each side of his cheeks as I raised my eyebrow at him "Can I help you?"

He grinned even wider and stretched out his hand "So she speaks, sorry for coming off as creepy, I'm Aiden, Aiden Rivers"

I stared with a hint of awkwardness and shyness at his hand, then met his brown eyes which were still bright and smiling "Aurora Evans, and I have a strict 'No touching boys' policy, and I have to get to class now"

Aiden pulled back his outstretched hand and ran it through his dark brown hair, it looked terribly soft and I turned away ashamed of ogling him like that. Aiden's smile was unwavering however.

"Oh, alright, but later I can show you around and maybe you can sit with my friends and I at lunch if you'd like? I promise we don't bite"

I rolled my eyes faintly at the cliché line, then shook my head apologetically "I'm sorry, Aiden, but I really must get to class"

I hurriedly turned my back and walked away, fiddling with my scarf nervously as I heard his voice holler down the hall after me "See ya later, beauty!"

I couldn't help but smile at his stupid nickname, and then blush at the realization of what just happened settle in, I'm not supposed to make friends with guys here, and even though he was perfectly nice and all, but it goes against my beliefs.
