Star-----
I stood watch with the fawns at midnight. The sky was clear and the stars were shining so bright it was almost as though they were laughing. One of the fawns started playing a Narnia lullaby as the fire began to dance. I looked around as they tree's swayed with the wind. I drew my sword as a twig snapped, stopping I sighed "King Edmund, Queen Lucy what are you doing up?"
They both froze and turned around Queen Lucy bit her lip "We couldn't sleep."
I motioned them to the fire "Come at least you can stay warm."
They both sat by the fire "Do you always have to hide like this?" Queen Lucy asked
I couldn't help but sigh "We have hidden for a long time your majesty. Not long after you left the telmarines invaded and fought until hiding was the only option."
Her eyes cast into the fire "We never should have left."
I looked up "Never think that your majesty, if you hadn't there would be no hope left for us to beleive in."
Edmund spoke up trying to change the subject " How long have we been gone?"
I looked at him and tried to smile "Too long your majesty"
He spoke up again "Star.....do you think we can win?"
I nodded "Narnia has faced a war the out numbered us before we can do it again, your majesty."
This made him smile, I couldn't help but blush noticing how cute he looked when he did. He turned away also and Queen Lucy smiled "I'm getting a bit tired, good night."
When she left I looked at the stars again "Beautiful don't you think?" I asked Edmund
"Very" I turned looking over to him only to notice he was looking at me
I bit my lip and stood "I should get back, They need help with the watch."
I started to walk away when I felt a tug on my wrist "King Edmund I-" I stopped when hand cupped my face
"If I had come sooner you could have been my queen." He whispered
We became silent the only thing that could be heard was our breathing and the crackle of the fire.
Someone cleared their throat and we broke apart only to see King Peter stand close by "Ed you better get some rest, we've got training at dawn."
Edmund looked over at me before turning to go. When he was out of sight I cleared my throat as well "King Peter what you saw was-" He cut me off
"Star, I don't shame you. My brother had never looked at anyone the way he does you, But if I may a kiss should be shared when peace is at it's strongest." He spoke
"Yes your majesty, I'm sorry your majesty. I was out of line, I'll go" I rushed off and cried in the woods, I had forgot my place and my duty.
