Margaret, though her ally is dead, though she was too late to the battle, has come and will fight her husband's claim to the throne. With her is her brutal son, Edward, and his wife, Anne Neville, daughter of the late Kingmaker.

She lands in Weymouth, confident that she will win. We are a tired army, she is fresh and as soon as she can get to Wales, she will collect reinforcements from Jasper Tudor and Bam! the battle is over before it even starts.

Well, we'll cut her off from Wales.

Now the problem Margaret (and later Henry Stafford but I'll explain later) has is that there's a roaring river separating Wales from England. It's crossable at two points, the first Gloucester and the second by a old, ruined castle near Tewkesbury.

Gloucester follows Edward's command and won't let her cross. So, with our army on 20 Miles behind, Margaret must go to Tewkesbury. She and her army camp in the ruined castle, confident that she can cross tomorrow. And anyway if we catch up, we'll be drained marching 36 Miles in one day.
