Friends With Benefits - Luke Hemmings

A/N: I finally got to it! Sorry if it took some time. Also, I went on a date yesterday and it kinda sucked so I was slightly bitter when i wrote this. Hope you like it nonetheless x.

Getting in to a 'friends with benefits' agreement with Luke probably wasn't the smartest idea. Especially since you'd been crushing on him since you two met. Yet, you were lying in his bed with all your clothes on the ground. You had spent the night at his place, being too tired to leave and go home after hooking up with him. You sigh loudly and he turns to you raising an eyebrow.

"You alright Y/N?" He piercing blue eyes look into yours and you give him a small smile. If there was a perfect time to tell him about your feelings it would be now.

"I like you Luke." You pause and look into his eyes to gauge his reaction. "I have for a while now."

"Oh."

"Oh? That's all you have to say?" Your voice cracks a bit at his clear lack of emotion.

"Well, yeah. I mean, we had an agreement Y/N."

"I know. I just thought maybe we could be more than just fuck buddies." You ask hoping that maybe he'll agree.

"I'm sorry but no. I don't feel that way about you." Tears start to well up in your eyes as you feel your heart breaking.

"O-okay. I guess this is it then."

"Don't say that. We can still be friends and keep hanging out." You laugh at him, even though tears started falling onto your cheeks, and shake your head.

"I'm falling for you Luke. So, no I can't keep going on like before. It hurts too much." Now you were almost fully sobbing. Your tears were falling faster than you could keep up with.

"Please stop crying" He pleads and tries to give you a comforting hug. You pull away, knowing that being too close to him will only make you more upset.

"I should go" you say while sniffling. You wipe some tears away and get out of his bed. You quickly throw on your clothes from earlier, wanting to get out of his apartment as soon as possible.

"Wait" you heart skips a beat as Luke calls out to you. You turn around tentatively and look at him with a glimmer of hope in your eyes. "Never mind." He says guilty. Your heart shatters and you feel more tears start to spill over. You turn around to leave before Luke can see how much he's truly broken you.

A part of you knew that it could end like this but you had to risk it. You were ready for a relationship with Luke but he wasn't. Not right now anyways. It hurt but you knew you would get over it with time.
