Combining Hearts pt.2

Shadow's POV

I sat up with Sonic right there smiling and wagging his tail. My mind had questions of how he found me. I asked him that question and all he said was that he had some kind of heart feeling in his chest while running. I was now confused about what he ment by that. Is it possible to feel another's precents or family member from a far distance? I looked at Sonic smiling and wagging his tail hugging me saying he finally found me. "Wait 'finally' what?" He looked at me. "I finally found you Shads it took me a few minutes which felt like a hour..." I am so confused but I need to get Sonic home before something bad happens to him. "Sonic you need to go home."

Sonic's POV

"Sonic you need to go home." I looked at him my ears going down wondering. "But why?" I asked him. He said I wasn't supposed to be here I asked him why but he said that I was in danger if I stay any longer. I could tell Tails didn't like it when I looked at the worry in his face. My ears go down looking at Shadow not wanting to leave him. "I don't wanna go back...I wanna stay with you.." I heard Shadow groans a little as he said that he'll be home in about an hour and a half so I had to hold home. After a few minutes I finally obeyed him as I ran home Tails holding onto me. I didn't want to go leaving him here if there was danger...what if he gets hurt?... doesn't that make me a bad Mobian?..

No POV

Sonic was back home laying on the couch thinking about his questions not knowing he had only five minutes till Shadow got home. He looked at the ceiling his face blunt of expression. Tails was on Sonic's stomach knowing he was a bit down and thinking. After the five minutes Sonic walked to the door as he sits down waiting from being reminded from Tails. After he did Shadow walked through the door Sonic hugged Shadow instead of pouncing him again. "This is new." Shadow said a bit surprised about that. "I already pounced so no need." Sonic said innocently. Shadow chuckled as he hugs back. "Hey Sonic guess what?" Sonic looked at him asking what. Shadow smiles as he looked at Sonic and said that he was off of work for two weeks because he did extra work from yesterday. Sonic smiles as he hugged him closer his tail wagging happily. Shadow saw as he chuckled at this. Tails heard them talk as his ears twitched a little hearing the door knock. Shadow looked as he yelled who was there. "It's me hun Rouge." Shadow groaned at the voice as he gets up opening the door. Sonic stayed on the ground like a pup. Rouge looked in and saw Sonic. "Is that Sonic? The puppy Sonic??" Sonic remembered her as he backed away a little bit. Shadow saw this as he sighed. "He forgot about you for a moment but yes that's Sonic the puppy." Sonic looked at shadow as he gets up and ran behind him hiding. Rouge awed at that. "So cute even if he isn't a pup." Shadow chuckled. "Shadow can she sleeve now?? I don't want to get hugged to death again..." Shadow was about to laugh the what he just said. Rouge huffed. "Rude." Shadow turned to Sonic hugging him. "It's okay she won't do that." Sonic looked at him. "Promise??" Shadow nodded. "Promise." Sonic wagged his tail nodding

-time skip-

Rouge left after talking to Sonic and Shadow about what happened to Sonic a few days ago. When she left Shadow was about to look at Sonic but he wasn't there. "Sonic?"
