"I have a surprise for you." David said to me over the phone.

It had been a week since we had made up and I was so happy we decided to make up in the first place. Like I've said before David is my best friend and everyone needs a best friend.

"What kind of surprise?" I asked already getting myself ready for David to pick me up.

"One that I've literally been planning for a month." I heard him laugh on the other side. A month? What kind of surprise takes a month to plan?

"What? David. What is it?" I asked knowing that he wouldn't tell me no matter how many times I asked.

"Ugh, Mag, I'll be there in five minutes." He said before hanging up. I laughed to myself as I check my outfit in the mirror. With white high wasted shorts and a black t-shirt and pink vans my mom bought for me while I was in Pennsylvania, I thought I looked cute. After whatever animal David surprises me with I definitely will not look cute.

Sure enough, five minutes later David was texting me like crazy until I got into his Tesla.

I starred at him weirdly until he finally spoke up, "What's wrong with you?"

"Why haven't you blindfolded me yet?" I asked and as soon and I finished he laughed looking at the camera I didn't even notice was sitting on the dashboard.

"I think you're gonna wanna know where this is."

I looked at him again confused but just went along for the ride. He then took all the same exits and turns to get to his house. Weird.

"Are we just going to your house?" I asked him while looking at all the nice houses around the neighborhood.

"Nope." He said popping the 'P'. "Stop asking so many questions Magnolia. We're like two minutes away."

I huffed and slouched into my seat but continued to look outside.

A few minutes later as we were getting closer to David's house he made a right turn instead of a left like we would normally to get to his house. I didn't want to ask where we were going anymore because I knew it was pointless. He continued down the road for about five minutes before pulling into a parking lot.

David turned and smiled at me before grabbing his camera and getting out of the Tesla.

I quickly got out and jogged to catch up to him, following him into the nice apartment building lobby. I wonder who lived here. I know it obviously wasn't David because why on EARTH would he move out of his really nice house?

He walked right towards the elevator and pushed level 4. I looked at him with my eyebrows raised but he just smiled at me and played with the green bracelet on his wrist.

A minute later he was dragging my hand down a hall until we reached the very end. Room number 401. He reached into his pocket and pulled out a single key.

He turned his camera on and pointed it at me.

"So where are we Maggie?" He asked.

"Uhm a really nice apartment building?" I said in more of a questioning tone.

"Unlock the door." He said handing me the key. I looked at him weirdly one last time before unlocking the door.

I was welcomed into a big opened living room, fully furnished. It was beautiful. I looked at the large windows that were in front of the dining area of the room that went from the top of the roof to the bottom.
