-_NooAH_-
I stood behind the tall stone pillar. I was trembling and my hands were shaky. My knees were weak to the point where my backpack was weighing me down, almost as if I would fall to my knees. I peaked around the corner. There they were. Hundreds of cold bodies dragging there worthless body around an art museum in New York City. I huffed and ran to the next pillar. Hoping to have been undetected by the zombies. Why was I pillar hopping? Simple. I had to get to the professor. He was at the end of the pillared hallway, frantically waving me to his location.

I nodded towards him and peaked around the corner again. All the zombies had begun trudging there way to one general direction. My direction. The thing with zombies is they moved as a pack. A rotting, horrendous pack. I quickly hid myself behind the next pillar, my mind was racing and I had no idea what to do at this point. They were walking towards me and one of them was going to notice some mortal being a coward behind a big pole eventually.

I began patting myself down for some form of weapon, the  professor was already rifling threw his bag. Out he pulled a simple pistol. He slid it across the floor in my direction. I leaned down and began reaching for it. Then something else happened. A cold dead hand rested on my shoulder. I looked behind me one of them had found me. His grip was tight on my shoulder. It wasn't moving or making any sound other than the occasional grunt or groan. I reached my foot out and tried to grab the pistol, or at least slide it closer to me.

The zombie screamed upon my movement. Causing me to flinch, I tried to stay still. But it was to late. The other lurkers began surrounding me. I wanted to freeze i my place and just die. That would be stupid. Instead, I ran as fast as I could threw a gap in the swarm, breaking past them. They attempted to chase after me, and eventually the professor, who began running along side with me.

"DID YOU GET THE GUN!?" He yelled after me. i thought for a moment. I hadn't. I hesitatingly responded. "NO... NO I DID NOT." The Professor murmured something under his breathe.

{Some time later}

I pulled off my pack and flung it against the floor. Professor was walking in to the room, a stern expression that matched his grey frizzled beard and trench coat quite well. He sighed and got a beer form our last cooler that was still actually cool. I began trying to figure out ways to make up for the gun, and all the times I had nearly gotten the two of us killed in the past two months. Another gun was my best bet.

I grabbed a knife, and a flash light, and slid both items into my pocket, and hopped out the window that night, The firearm shop was a mile off and shouldn't be to hard to get too. I began steadily walking down the beaten up and blood infested sidewalk. It had a sense of peacefulness to it. I even felt tempted to whistle as I walked, but I didn't want any big ears on my back.

Zombies have different skills. Most are regular zombies. Useless. Some are big ears, they have a better sense of hearing than an owl. Then there are the four eyes. No, they do not wear glasses. They have... Four eyes, and can spot you from a mile away. The worms are pretty self explanatory, but the one you really gotta look out for is the fat belly. It is a wrecking ball reincarnated into a dead skinned zombie. Disgusting. These things will roll right over y-

A fat belly. I stared in horror and took a step back, horrified. I began sprinting backwards as it began to take ground breaking step, after step. I knew I had to attack but all I had was a pistol. Not even that, a knife. I tripped, busting my head on a rock. I felt it get another step closer from the vibrations it made in the cement.
