"Thanks Lieutenant Waverly," Corelline responds.
"Please, it's the least I can do!" The gate fully opens and we step inside, the Lieutenant walks up to us, "You must be the spades, word travels fast when it's about a new ops team. Word has it that your fresh outta silver spier, this true?"
Zero and Yukka both start to protest but I hold my hand out, "Yeah, I am. We hope we can help out around here!"
"We hope we can help you out around here?" He repeats, "It's nice to have an ops team that isn't stuck up like those guys from Dark hall! The special ops team Diamonds." He starts to walk away but turns, "Word to the wise, better harden yourselves...People tend to take advantage of the weak or caring ones."
The 2nd gate that I hadn't even noticed was there opens to reveal a huge camp. There are tents, most of them have a red cross on them. There's a large road going through most of the parts.
"We ask that constructs stay on the road as to avoid crushing hazards for the injured."
The Camp's wall surrounds a city, a nearby sign says, 'Welcome to Los Angeles!' The buildings have been fixed up and people live in them, at least that's what i get from how many windows have lights on in them.
"We fixed up this city and were using it as a base. We have running water, enough food, and electricity here. Got everything from the ocean nearby us! Water power and filters run this whole city. In the beginning we used coal and a nearby power plant, but we quickly found out that the Omega are drawn to smoke! So we turned to something we don't have on the moon, Hydropower!" He pauses, "We found some manuels with blueprints of an old hydropower plant in a building, that's what gave us the idea. So we matched it and made a huge hydro plant."
"So everyone gets enough of everything?" Yukka asks, standing next to a surprisingly Silent Vey.
"Yeah, food rations are shipped out to everyone every week. And they are delivered per person, not importance of said person. Everyone gets water to cook and clean themselves with, that isn't limited at all because of the ocean we have near us. And last but not least Cloths are made from a cotton farm nearby. We are lucky that there we're still plants there. It looked like someone was living there recently, who ever it was kept cotton for some strange reason. So we used that," The Lieutenant explains, "the whole forward base is completely self sufficient!" He states proudly, "You have no idea how hard it was to set that up."
"Umm, The general said he would show us our quarters, but he doesn't seem to be around here. Where can we find him?" Vey asks.
"Oh, the gernal becomes very busy after attacks, so i'll just take you to your place. It's an apartment nearby the Construct hanger, we can go leave our constructs there and take the skywalk to your floor," He states casually. We walk along the paved road to the hanger. We hook our constructs up to the required energy source and exit them.
We meet a blue eyed, tall, white, and very cheerful guy who is, in fact, Lieutenant Waverly, "This way!"
We follow him through a skywalk that's about 3 stories up. The build we enter is like a normal residence area on the moon. The walls have a white wall paper on them and every once in awhile you'll pass a plant or a bench. We reach an old elevator that takes up up to the 76th floor, which is about 14 floors down from the top of the skyscraper.
"This is your floor," He states, then he starts to explain, "The whole floor is yours, there are 8 rooms, each with a bathroom in them. There's a central kitchen/ living room that connects them all together. I believe your 2 new teammates will b getting here shortly, they are being moved from their last team's floors."
