Looking at a tablet book over construct tech and building requirements for field use, I sit on top of Ragnarok, my MK IV (Or four) construct. Everyone on the moon is required to make one if they can. Everyone has their own personal constructs, built by them, maintained by them, and prized by them.
Everyone thinks their construct is the best, of course their wrong. I scroll down just a little from the page i'm on and get to Venice's, aka Saber, personal unit, it has many names, but the one I have for it is Knight 1. Knight 1 has a triple electromagnet reactor, with a third arm and dual swords plus a knife on it. For serious fire power it's got a quad barrel homing thermal musketeer AX760, which is the strongest rocket launcher made to date! God! This is the peek of construct tech! At least back then... 2 years ago this would have demolished anything in its path, but Omega are too strong. The housing situation on the moon forced us to go down to earth in search of peace with the pro evolutionists. The omega, who inhabit earth now, forced us to make our constructs stronger to combat them.
The 2 plates on Ragnarok's back that act as the door to the cockpit open. I climb inside the mech and put on my earpiece. Suddenly the cockpit lights up and the walls disappear, leaving only the buttons near the bottom of the mech cockpit. Putting on the ear piece allows you to connect with the construct and see through it's cameras/eyes. It also allows you to move the construct with your mind, which is the hardest thing to do with a construct. Learning that is easily the first 4-5 months of school.
Ragnarok has a quad nuclear core with a triplet electromagnetic assisting core. It's a humanoid bot that has a scythe in its compact form on the left leg. The color scheme is black and neon red, neon red is our squad's color. It helps people identify teams. Black and a neon color are a popular color scheme to say the least. The black shoulder pads with neon blue lights running through them hold 60 arc missiles in each that are self propelled and track the closest target by themselves.
"I see you left room for kits and modifications depending on the senario your in!" a male voice says walking into the hanger full of countless other personal units, "You know it's 12 pm right?"
"Yeah, just brushing up on my construct design and equipment for the test tomorrow, High school sucks," I respond to the voice that can only belong to Zero, "Where's the twin?"
Zero walks in the hanger door and turns on the lights in his own mech's hanger, "Ummm I think Kaname is just about to get here, he had to pick up some parts for Night Bane." Night bane, Kaname's mech. Kaname is the top of our class what more could night bane need?
"How is Dawn Breaker?" I ask casually.
"Oh , I need to upgrade her thermal capacity," He gets an excited look, "Don't tell anyone, but im working on her MK IV Plans!" He looks around to make sure no one was listening.
"Holy shit dude!" I whisper, "That's awesome? Did your dad finally approve?"
"Not only him! I got the school to as well!" He responds excitedly.
"WOW!" I exclaim in a slightly hushed voice.
"What about you? How's Ragnarok doing?" He asks.
"Well....for a MK IV i think she's doing well... Valkyrie is still getting used to the new system i installed yesterday though."
"Wow doesn't take her this long usually. Valk has always been good at adapting," he says admiring Ragnarok's AI, "At least she isn't like Yin! Yin really hates change, she's gonna go ballistic when I tell her i'm going up a MK."
"Is that why your here now?" Yukka interjects stepping out from the shadows behind Zero.
"YUKKA! Holy crap don't scare me like that! I thought you were instructor Creon for a second!"
