Construct: Reverse Eclipse

Chapter 1

"You think Vey and Karl are okay? Vey looked pretty bad last night..."

"You mean this morning? And also...yes....Karl and Vey are strong people...Vey, more so in the cockpit...but i know both of them will come down to the earth with us." The other twin says.

"Well I never doubted that...OH CRAP! We have to leave!" I hear one say.

I get up and change into some clothes I borrowed from Zero. then I walk over and Gently shake Vey awake, "Hey Vey....it's time to go! We have to take the exam soon," Man...after last night...seeing that omega in the base and rushing here from home...i'm so tired.

"Okay Karl...I'll be there before the bell, get going so you're not late!"

"Im sure instructor Khuma will understand, i'll tell her what happened last night...." I explain.

"If you want," She lays back down.

"Don't be too late," I warn her before leaving, "Your title as number 3 in the school only goes so far."
Zero and Kaname come barreling down the stairs, I shoot a look at them. They start tiptoeing down the stairs, i hear one whisper to the other, "Man...Karl is scary when he wants to be." That one was Zero... I think as I follow them out of the dark living room and into the tunnel-shaped hallway to go to class. I noticed that they remodelled the inside of the tunnels. The whole tunnel was a glazed white that reminded my of hospitals in old movies. The sides were lined with a neon blue light broken only by windows occasionally. Every once in a while we would pass a bench with trees on either side of it or a snack machine. We stopped at one of said snack machines.

"You want anything?" Zero asks me.

"Yes I do...coffee please," I respond, "I didn't get any sleep last night..."

"Sounds like it, from walking home with Yukka," Zero pauses just to wink at me very obviously, "and from what happened to Vey, you must have had a very busy night,"Kaname finished Zero's though, his tone serious.

I drink all of the coffee without stopping, "Tell me about it," I say ignoring Zero's joke.

"Well...you better pass this exam!" Zero and Kaname say at the same time.

"Woah....you really are identical in every way when you're together..." I think, "You guys aren't together all the time though...Why?"

"The teachers got annoyed by us so they split us up," Kaname Explains. Man the only way i'm able to tell the difference is by the pins on their book bags saying their names.

We walk through the doors of the academy. Yukka is waiting for us with-, "WOAH Vey when did you get here?!" Kaname and Zero say surprised.

"You guys are slow..." She says. Wow she jumped back from that incident last night... but I can still see the shadows in her eyes.

"I expected this. How long ago did you get here?"

"I got here 2 minutes before you," She says casually.

Kaname's jaw drops and Zero looks dumbfounded, "So I heard from Vey what happened last night," Other than me, Vey opens up to Yukka very easily.

"Yeah," I sigh, "Went out to do some studying. I really should have stayed home with Vey."

"No it's fine..you couldn't have stopped it either Karl." Vey says.

Everyone looks down, then the bell rings. It breaks the depressing mood when we rush off to class. We all have class in the same room, and sit together as a "Squad".

They pass out the test, "Okay kids, you have as long as you need, you're allowed to leave as soon as you're done. The school yard and practice arenas 1 through 25 are open today for kids to use, good luck!" The professor saluts before she walks out.
