Construct: Reverse Eclipse

Chapter 1

"I don't like it here Karl...." She whimpers.

"Come on, follow me..." God damn it i'm not putting her through this anymore. We creep outside. I get mine and Vey's hoverboards and we ride them to Zero and Kaname's house on the other side of the colony.

On the way there she sticks close to me as we ride through the empty streets. My father is a good for nothing ball of trash! I can't believe he did this! I don't blame mom for leaving...i just wonder why she left us with that ass hole!

"Karl? Where are we going?" Vey asks meekly.

"We are gonna go to Instructor Creon's house, he can get you patched up and make you all better....Did anyone other than dad hurt you?" I ask.

"No...his friends tried to stop him, He hit one of them with a bottle. Then I saw blood, they stopped defending me," She looks up at me, "Why can't people be like Yukka, Zero, Kaname, You, or the instructor?"

"I don't know Vey...." I look too Dr. Creon's house. The light is on outside. I ride up to the door, jump off my hover board, and knock on it. Vey walks up behind me, she's limping, "here," I pick her up. Damn...that Bitch is gonna pay for this some day!

Dr. Creon opens the door, I can hear Zero and Kaname yelling in the back round, "By all that is holy?! What happened?" He asks as we walk in.

"My dad, I think he beat her again....It's bad," I say as he takes her.

"I can help don't worry," He pauses, "ZERO! KANAME!" He yells.

They both walk into the room. The identical twins look at my grim face and know immediately what's going on, this isnt the first time i've come to them for help, "I'll go get some hot washcloths!" The one on the left yells as he runs up a nearby set of stairs.

"I'll go get some pain killers! Anything else I need to get Doctor?" The one on the right, whom i can identify as Zero because of his hair part, asks.

"No that will be okay, there isn't any major bleeding...Karl, did you see this happen?" the doctor asks me.

"No....if I had it wouldn't be this bad..." I mutter angrly.

"Don't get too worked up Karl..." Zero says as he runs off.

"It's okay now, You're gonna stay here till the send off ceremony tomorrow evening.

"Thank you Instructor..." I say.

"Please, all this time you've known me and you're still calling me Instructor?" He smiles at me, "I can take care of your sister, go get ready for bed, you can have the couch."

"Thank you..." I say as I go up stairs.

I lay on the couch, unable to sleep, thinking. I wonder what earth is actually like.... I know it's bad...but Vey needs a place to stay that's safe..even the barracks wont have people beating her every night! She's brilliant in the cockpit...and if they don't let her go i can use- no...she will...I'd rather fight Omegas on the surface of earth than spend another day in that forsaken house! I look over to the other side of the room where Vey is sleeping.

She was able to sleep thankfully. She can defend herself in a construct...easily! I'll be assigned to the same team as her. The military likes putting friends and family on the same team because they work well together. I realise it's almost day break after i look at the clock. It's already 7? Holy crap....why was everyone up so late tonight...

I hear Zero and Kaname talking, "you ready for the test tomorrow?"

"What do you mean tomorrow...the test is in a few hours..." Comes the response.
