She still remember the first time she saw him
It was like in the romantic movies she watched over and over again
Time slowed and stopped,
She had him in her eyes, and he had hers in his
Then she heard a voice; don't know where it came from
A very soft voice, it was so clear and warm
But the words are so straightforward and cold
"You'll fall for him, but you'll never have him"
It was a warning
She walked passed him, and She could feel him still staring at her, his eyes were so beautiful, and the way he looked at her, as if he were reading what was on her mind. It felt like he could see right through her. But maybe she was just too naive and paranoid.
She sat right behind him, and few minutes later the new class started. Yeah, it was her first year in senior high school in Indonesia, totally surrounded by new air, new school, new class, new people, and new attractive guys.
The class was not as bad as she thought it would be, at least they had air conditioner, because the weather in this country was more than enough to fry an egg on her forehead. Well, maybe it wasn't that hot, but it was still hot. She looked around, Asian guys and girls were everywhere, it's so different than her school in Dallas, where there were many white and black peoples, also blonde, black and red haired people mixed in a class, here they were all yellow skinned and black haired, just like her.
"Allena Shaw, please come forward, I don't think you want to start the class without an opening introduction" Said the teacher.
"I... I'm fine with it, really" she said,
but the teacher looked at her eyes once again, asking her to come forward.
She took a deep breath, and walked to the front of the class, and start introducing her self.
"I'm Allena Shaw from Dallas" she said,
but the other students face showed curiosity, it seemed like what she said wasn't enough. She looked at the teacher once more, and the teacher started speaking.
"She transferred here from Dallas, so she'll have a lot to learn here, especially rules and habits of this school. I hope all of you can take care of our friends here and not to made fun of her. Are we clear?"
"Yes, ma'am" the other students answered with less enthusiasm than Allena hoped. She glanced to the guy who gave her the deep first impression; his eyes were looking at her, as if he never stopped looking from the time she got into the class.
She went back to her seat, and the girl next to her smiled to her. "So, you're from Dallas? I thought you were from this country, you're Asian right?" she asked. Allena nodded, "my parents are Asian, but this is my first time in Asia"
"Ruth Patricia, call me Ruth. I'm soooo excited to meet a foreigner! Well, although you're Asian as well" She said. "But if you have questions about this class, school or country, just ask me. I'll be glad to help"
"Thanks" said Allena.
She took her eyes off Ruth and placed it on his back. The guy with dark black Asian eyes, just like the other guys in the class, but somehow she felt something different with this guy.
"Vincent, finish this equation on the board" the teacher ordered.
That guy stood and did as the teacher said.
'So his name is Vincent... nice name...' she thought. She looked at his back as he wrote on the board with his soft movement; he was such a calm person. She wondered if he were as soft as his movement, or as mysterious as his stare.
