She took a step back from the mirror and looked away. Who was that? It couldn't be me, right? Tell me that wasn't me.It isn't you.
Then who is that? She pointed at her reflection in the mirror.
'That's the you that needs to be hidden'
Why? Why do I have to hide that? She surprised herself with that question. The answer was easy- she was hideous and no one likes someone who is hideous.
Because it's hideous. It is ugly and no one likes ugly people. Her voice blended in. Is that what she was like? Neither of the voices sounded right to her.
Why do I have to change to impress others? She continued to surprise herself. Rosaline, the one she knew, would never say such a thing. The person talking wasn't her. So who was?
That's how the world works. You are ugly; therefore, no one likes you.
You are ugly... That was strange. The voice would never say that. The voice would tell her that she was beautiful. The voice was smooth and flowed majestically, like a waterfall. The voice was soft not harsh. If it wasn't the voice, who is it?
No, I'm not ugly. And even If I was, who cares? Beauty will eventually fade away from us, leaving with only scars. Makeup can only last so long!
