that chapter was intense as hell
first of all let me start off with the simple statement that

horkoshi is a god when it comes to art, holy whoa.

these last few panels here on one of the pages threw a number of emotions through me i can't even explain,,
like the todoroki's right now
how tf are they supposed to feel when their abusive father is being brutally beaten to death by a nomu and going way past his limit to uproarious heights

these two amazing panels my god there is so much going on
first of all i wanna adress that i misunderstood this as him praying for his father to live, because it's first day acting as the new #1 hero and he knows his dad is stronger than what he's letting on, when i saw the korean leaks out of context,, but he's not praying
at this point, after he crashes to the ground, endeavor stands up and does a weak victory pose showing that he's alive, and the first thing shouto does after the revelation is this; get on his knees and thank whatever deity he believes in because he's genuinely relieved his father survived
but also looking at his face i can tell a ton of mixed emotions are swirling around in his mind too and he kinda,, has to figure how to deal with them?? but that's later
anyway these panels are mcfucking amazing and beautiful and i thank you horikoshi

so hawks goes to help keep endeavor steady and im not gonna lie this is probably one of the cutest things i've seen in the manga,, i was never a big fan of endeavor x hawks for obvious reasons but god dammit he just looks like such a proud supportive boyfriend and i cant help but love how this winged baby cares for him i mean he used up most of the feathers in his wings just to help endeavor and that shit may he permanent but he did it nonetheless (even after like?? they had this whole playful rivalry going on that was honestly great i'd love to see more of their relationship as the #1 and #2 heroes)

i can imagine endeavor staring dumbfounded at dabi silently for a solid ten seconds and then dabi's like "man this family reunion is so sad hawks play despacito"

horikoshi introduced natsuo, one of the unknown todoroki brothers just for the sake of having all the todoroki's watching endeavor's fight, and while we still have an unknown sibling dabi is also watching the entire fight in the background?

i think it's tokoyami's still-lasting shook expression that's been there for the entire 4 or 5 chapters of this fight
