11//Chapter Eleven (The party)

Immediately he looked my way, I composed myself so I wouldn't look cheap.

He gives me a quick smile and I did the same which I know doesn't fail to put me in anyone's good books. He walks up to me and asks for a dance and I oblige without any hesitation. Nothing could go wrong!

The blast of the cold night air hit me and I shivered, I already forgot I was outside. He noticed it almost immediately and he didn't hesitate to take of his jacket and hand it over to me. I quickly snuggle into it, while he holds me to himself. I just hope this isn't wrong.

After a while, we sat on the bench in the centre of the garden and we started talking.

He introduced himself as Michael( did I tell you of how deep and sonorous his voice sounds?) And I introduced myself too, all the while we were cuddling. It seemed so right. I already forgot that we were at a party.

What if Ada was looking for me?

While we discussing and laughing at our jokes, he popped up a question I've always had answers to.

"What kind of guy do you like?" He asked, his voice kept echoing in my head.

This was when I fully entered my talking mode, when I talk, I always want to make sure people understand what exactly I'm saying, so I tend to act like a teacher sometimes. That's where my problem starts.

Your true colours are about to be revealed.

"First of all, I like tall, dark and very handsome guys with very deep voices. And finally huge; I don't mean Goliath kind of huge oh, but big enough to protect me. That's the first step to getting my attention, if we eventually start dating, there are major rules which cannot be overlooked " I finished.

"And they are?" He asked.

"I don't look this hot every time, and it's even worse at night, so in case you wake up and start wondering who exchanged your girlfriend with monster. I have zero tolerance for family members, they know how to get on people's nerves. I'm thinking i'd have problems with your family members but not to worry, I'll think of going for a tolerance class." I continued my rants.

Throughout this whole time, I've been talking with my eyes shut. I was just enjoying the warmth of his body.

"I must warn you before hand, I'm a deep sleeper, so whenever we have a sleepover, I'd toss, turn and probably kick you off the bed, but that problem is gonna be taken care of. I would appreciate it if you never address my talking and complaining occasionally as nagging because what you'd see that day wouldn't be a nice testimony. And also, I don't like guys who always try to be in charge and control their girlfriends. I can't stand that. I'm generally a nice person who enjoys her life and loves laughing and talking, with a soft heart for kids too. So I'm guessing we won't have issues if you abide by these few rules" I finally finished.

By the time I opened my eyes, Michael was looking down at me with horror filled eyes. It took split seconds for me to realise it was because I was talking that brought about the change in his attitude.

He pushed me off, I tried reaching out to him but he wards my hands off and backs off. He practically ran out of the garden, and I burst out laughing. I said the truth now and he ran, after guys would say girls lie a lot.

I walked back into the house and I noticed that his jacket was still on me, as I sniffed the leathered material, I smiled to myself as I jejely danced to a song in my head (single ladies) I'd kiss myself if I could because I just got the right song for my mood.

Abeg, all my single ladies, put your hands up!!
