Chapter 3

y/n's POV

For some reason, I was exhilarated about the next day.

No bullies, and new friends.

And Liu.

I pack by bag fast and head down to breakfast.

"Hey y/n" Charlie said with a smile "you look happy"

I nod and smile as I sit down and have a plate of pancakes put in front of me.

I pour syrup on the small pile and wait for it to drizzle all the way to the bottom before I take my first bite.

"Like them y/n?" mum asked "i used a new recipe today"

"They're great mum" Charlie said with a mouthful of pancakes

I smile and continue eating my pancakes.

I had a few bites left when I looked at the clock and saw we had a minute until Jeff and Liu would be here to walk with us.

I panicked. I wasn't dressed yet. I leave the last few bites and rush to my room.

I take a quick look out the window to check if Liu and Jeff were on their way.

But instead I see a cop car.

Jeff and Liu's mum was talking with a cop when Jeff came outside.

The cop walked up to Jeff and started talking to him.

His mother was sobbing into her hands as they talked.

Suddenly everyone turned their heads to the door.

I couldn't see what was going on since they were looking in the house.

The officers then drew their guns and pointed them into the house.

They were yelling and Jeff was crying.

After about a minute, they put their guns back and one walked into the house and came out with someone.

Liu.

I look over and see that they're escorting Liu into the car.

His arm was red and dripping. Was that, blood?

I run out of my room and downstairs.

"y/n whats wrong" mum called

I ignored her and ran straight out the door and to Jeff and Liu's house.

I get there panting, just before Liu went into the car.

"y/n!" he said surprised "what are you doing?"

I walk up but was stoped by the officers.

"Ma'am stay back, this man is dangerous" he said

I felt my eyes tear up as he said this.

He wasn't dangerous.

Jeff was yelling in the background.

"Liu, tell them it was me!" he yelled with tears streaming down his face

I look at Liu's arms, they were covered in cuts and blood.

Did he do that.

Why?

The tears start to flood down my face.

"i'm sorry" Liu said before he got into the car.

I fall to my knees and let the tears fall to the floor.
