Everly was so confused and conflicted. Not necessarily about the fact that Xander Wilde really wasn't Xander. But if he was so naturally talented in lying about something like his identity, what else could he be lying about?

Truth be told, she didn't become as skeptical of him like she probably should have been. Something was telling her that even through his identity wasn't real, the thing between the two of them were. At least that was what she hoped. She just had to see if that was the case.

And without thinking it over, it was like her feet led her outside and into a taxi. Suddenly, she was outside his house debating if she should knock or not.

Some seconds went by before she hesitantly reached her hand out, knocking on the door weakly. A part of her desperately hoped nobody would open so she wouldn't
have to deal with confronting him.

She looked up at the camera above the
door to see the red light blinking as the
camera lens zoomed in on her. Then,
the door automatically opened. There
was no Ecco this time.

She walked through his all too complicated maze with all the cameras staring her up and down as she passed them. Finally, she arrived to outside his work study after what felt like half an hour.

She walked in to see Xander stand in front
of his televisions. His hands tapping the
desk in front of him, they were shaking.
A glass of alcohol beside him.

He was probably terrified of his brother's return now that he was out of Arkham. Little did he know she knew everything.

"Xander" She spoke out loudly making him jump slightly before he turned around, a small smile tugging at his lips as he noticed it was her.

"Everly" He spoke out softly. "Two times in one day. Why the unexpected visit?" He said jokingly, taking a sip of his drink.

"I'm not here for nothing" She confessed, biting her lips nervously as he put some of her blonde hair behind her ear.

He noticed how she wasn't her usual self as he stepped closer to her, taking a hold of her waist. "What is going on, Ev?"

"I know your identity" She muttered out, looking down at the floor before she looked back up at him.

"Of course you do" he chuckled slightly as he let out a deep breath.

"No, I mean I know your real identity" She
said weakly as she looked into his green
eyes that was in a daze of false confusion.

"I don- I don't know what you're talking
about" He denied as he let go off her,
backing away slightly.

"Jeremiah Valeska" She said softly.
"That's your real name, am I wrong?"

He turned his back on her, gazing over as his televisions before he shrugged down the rest
of his drink. He turned around slowly, a threatening look on his face, a look Everly never had seen before. "How did you figure out?" He asked coldly.

"Your bro-brother Jerome was on the news,
he looked just like you, I didn't understand why so I did some re-research" She stuttered,  afraid of the tone in Xander's voice.

"I see, so you know he's out of Arkham?
He'll come for me" He said filling his
glass completely up again.

Everly gazed down at the glass before her attention landed back on the redhead standing in front of her.

Judging by what she had learned by being a therapist she knew he was using alcohol as a coping mechanism. To try and ease his fear and his raising mind that he was having at the moment. It seemed to her that he had some kind of post traumatic stress. Everly knew
he was a heavy drinker, but this was
something new.

"But why? What does he have against you that is so bad he wants to kill you?"

"He's always been like that, when we were children he held a cake knife up to my throat, later he lit my bed on fire" he explained adjusting his glass before he swallowed
it all for the second time in the small portion
of time Everly had been there.

Wow.

"I didn't know that" She said shocked, shocked that someone could do that to someone else. But, after all, the world was a cruel place.

"Look, he's not gonna find you. If he does,
you got this big ass maze to make him distracted, and you have me, alright?"
She said, trying to comfort and calm
him down as she put both her arms
around his neck.

"You're honestly the best person
I've ever met, do you know that?"
He said seriously as he gazed
longingly into her blue eyes.

"Don't exaggerate" She blushed, running
her fingers through his precious hair.

"I'm not" He replied, lifting her legs up to his torso as she wrapped them around him.

Before another word had the chance to be spoken, Xander pressed his lips lustfully
onto hers, as she kissed him back. Shivers rushing down her spine.

And with that, he started to walk them
to his bedroom.
