But now that he was actually getting to know Taeyong, the smaller man wasn't as bad as he had thought. Of course it could just be that he was drunk but even other than that, when he had walked him home he seemed surprisingly nice. And also cute, which he hadn't meant to tell him when they had first met.
''Are you the owner of that house?''
Jaehyun looked at him for a second, surprised that he knew. He looked back at the road immediately after. ''How'd you know?''
''You've got this car and you're Johnny's friend,'' Taeyong answered, eyes locked on Jaehyun's necklace. It was very pretty. ''I guessed. Can I ask something?''
''Fine."
"If the house is yours then why is Johnny's the host?"
"Why're you curious about such a thing?" Jaehyun ased, sounding a bit more hostile than he would've liked.
"I-I-"
"I always do it like that," Jaehyun cut him off. "That way if my parents learn about the fact that a party was thrown in their house during their vacation, I could just throw the blame on Johnny."
"You're a shitty friend," Taeyong pointed out. "But I guess it's a smart thing to do."
''We're here,'' Jaehyun announced, stopping in front of Taeyong's apartment which he hadn't forgotten, incredibly.
''You know my apartment, huh?'' Taeyong smiled at Jaehyun who had already gotten out of the car and was now opening the door for Taeyong. ''What a gentleman you are. Most of the men who came here didn't even remember my name the next morning, let alone my apartment.''
Jaehyun ignored his words and helped him get out of the car, holding him by his arm. That proved to be a bad idea because Taeyong's knees started to wobble immediately. Jaehyun sighed and kneeled down, his back facing Taeyong.
''What?'' Taeyong said, confused. Jaehyun rolled his eyes.
''Get on,'' he said. ''Be thankful. I don't carry people around everyday and I never will ever again after this.''
Taeyong laughed, almost making Jaehyun smile a little as well. ''Thanks, Jaehyun. You're being surprisingly sweet, y'know?"
''Of course,'' Jaehyun said as Taeyong threw himself on the taller's back, getting comfortable immediately. Jaehyun held his ankles and positioned him on his back properly, walking inside the apartment.
The elevator ride was silent. Taeyong lived on the fifth floor and the elevator was horribly slow, so it took them took them almost three minutes to get to Taeyong's door.
"Give me your keys," Jaehyun murmured, realizing that Taeyong was close to dozing off on his back.
"There's a pair under the welcome mat," Taeyong mumbled. Jaehyun looked down- there was a welcome mat which did not look like a welcome mat at all. It had a cute cat print on it. Jaehyun leaned down and looked under the mat. There they were- keys with an animal key chain. It was another cat print.
"Isn't this dangerous, though?" Jaehyun asked, opening the door and walking inside, looking around for a second to take in his sorroundings. Taeyong nodded, head rubbing into Jaehyun's back. The brunette felt his ears redden. He closed the door and walked to the first door, the door miraculously opening up to Taeyong's bedroom which was as big as Jaehyun's bathroom in the dorms. It was understandable, though- Jaehyun and Mark, being the rich kids they were, had one of the biggest rooms.
He put Taeyong down gently on the bed. He stared at him for a second- the pink haired man looked ethereal to him even though he would never say it to his face.
"I guess I'll get goi-"
Taeyong gagged.
Jaehyun sprinted out of the room, getting a plastic bag and then running back in the bedroom immediately. He threw it at Taeyong who retched as soon as he got his hands on the bag. Jaehyun stared at Taeyong's back as he threw up, awkward.
"Are you okay?" he asked, but didn't get an answer because Taeyong fell asleep immediately after vomiting. Jaehyun closed his eyes, putting his arms on his waist. He could leave and make Taeyong's friends mad and then feel guilty about it afterwards, or he could take the responsibility he wasn't supposed to take and stay to help Taeyong.
He sighed. He was probably going to regret this the next morning when he woke up to a cranky Taeyong. He got out of the room, leaving the door open and laying down on the small couch.
He closed his eyes, letting sleep take him over. The things he did to not disappoint people...
