"So, you didn't tell me your name." I said as I followed him up the stairs.
He sighed deeply, "Ryder."
I noticed that he hadn't talked to anyone besides me and that people scattered away from him. People were even giving me looks and I heard someone say poor girl and ugh, is she one of them?
One of them?
"Ryder what?" My phone hadn't vibrated so that means I'm doing good.
He sighed again, "Cambridge."
"How long have you been in this school, Ryder?" I asked. I have to get lots of information.
He dodged the question, "You're a nerd, right?" He stopped walking and pinned me to the nearest wall. The bell had just rung, so people were heading to their classes, leaving me and Ryder alone.
Wonderful.
I rolled my eyes, "Only because everything you do, I can do better, doesn't mean I'm a nerd."
Oops, Violet spoke.
At that moment my phone vibrated.
I quickly tried to cover it up. "I-I mean, y-yes I am a nerd indeed." I pushed the glasses up and shyly looked up at him. He was smirking amusedly, a dimple in one of his cheeks.
Cute.
"Girly," He jokingly gasped and trapped me against the wall with both his arms. "I didn't think you were the type to be feisty." He leaned in close.
If I was Violet right now, I would have either kissed him already or pushed him off.
But no, I'm freaking Silver Montgomery.
And he's a murderer.
I sucked in a breath and he smirked wider before changing directions and heading for my ear. I let out a breath as he whispered, "I like it."
I would be lying if I said that his deep, husky voice, didn't make me swoon.
"Uhh, I think we're late for class." I made my voice shake. He leaned back with that stupid smirk still on his face.
I want to cut that smirk out of your face and sew the skin together afterwards!
"The first period is free for all seniors." He said and started walking, I took this as a cue and followed him.
"How did you know I was a senior?"
"You don't look like a junior." He eyed me up and down.
Oh.
I blushed, a real blush, and he smirked once again.
"So if you're a nerd, and I'm wasting my time walking you around, that means you owe me, girly."
Deep breaths.
"Of course, what can I do for you?" I pushed the glasses up and looked at him through my eyelashes.
"Let's just say I may not be the brightest star in the sky, and need a tutor."
Ok, why would a murderer care about what he gets on a class?
And dammit, I'm not an actual nerd!
"Sure, but may I ask why you care about grades? I mean, you don't look like the type to, you know, study or anything like that. I'm not saying that your dumb either! No, I was--I um, uh. . ."
I'm an idiot.
"Yeah, well the school is threatening to kick me out if I don't get my grades up. Plus, school is the only place I go to that's not my house, I don't wanna lose that privilege." He confessed absentmindedly.
